No, actually this stuff pills up pretty nicely, even when you don't want it to.
I found a place to get Antron Fleece, so that shouldn't be a problem, just a waiting game is all.
I wanted to make these, just to get into the practice of making a Kermit that looked right. I'll let everyone know...
Yeah, these aren't the right kind of fleece. I had someone recommend some stuff to me, after I dropped the cash for the stuff I'm using. I am confident though over time, that the fleece I'm using will pill up a bit, and hide the seams a bit better.
I am working on a couple of Kermits for my Doctor Doom fan film. I'll explain later how Kermit fits in. Anyway, I'm making a few of them so I can get ONE good one out of the bunch just in case the others are failures.
I'm making my own pattern as I go, so hopefully they won't suck too badly...
I'm building another head so I can use the body in two different short films. I'm hoping to have the body done before the end of the month. It's going to be a wearable costume / puppet
I will hopefully have this robot puppet / costume done in about a month. I have some obligations to take care of before I move on with it. The lighting for the mouth will change, as per a momentary on off switch that will be hand activated like a puppet. I'm not sure if this really qualifies as...
According to the folks at National Fiber, Henson was very animal friendly, and that they didn't use animal hides, now this comes from one of the people who works there, who might not know what they're talking about. In all honesty, I don't really see Henson or anyone else associated with that...
I have already given that a lot of thought. The pattern isn't made yet, but I do have ideas on how to do the head assembly and that's really the hardest part.
I read the whole thing, and found that there was very little in it I didn't already know. A bit of a disappointment, but the things I didn't know made me think that it was a worthwhile investment.
Well, I got my copy of The Foam Book. Going to read through it a bit today. We're doing pizza with friends tonight. After I've had a chance to persuse it, I'll hopefully post some pics of my kermits.
The Doglion costume will happen, but after pricing everything out, I'm going to have to do some more sculpting gigs to put away some cashola. I got a conservative estimate, and let me tell you, as a guy who just got into making this sort of thing, it was a shock.
I made a full suit of Doctor...
I just got off the phone with National Fiber, and they're going to send me some samples. The customer service is AWESOME.
I highly recommend them.
I am going to be so tickled to get this costume started.
