Hey PunkNPuppets,
You could also make tube shapped bodies
for your puppets. I'd have to see the head though to get
a better idea of what type of body your after. Did you
post any pix of the head yet? Is this the puppet head you used
spray paint on from a couple posts ago?
You could get...
Borkbork,
Looking good! I love Muppet fan recreations!
Have you found some blue fur to use? Are you
going to attempt a a moving eyelid feature.
Thats my next mountain to climb, moving eyes.
Hey Radionate,
I made Audrey II out of foam and then masked off areas on the head with tape and spray painted with yellow. Then I masked agian for the green areas with tape, to give it the "watermelon head" look. It wasn't all spray paint though. I also used a "spray paint" that is used for...
Hey Bork-Bork,
Clifford was made from an old pink t-shirt of my mother's that I "dyed" purple by taking watercolor paint and mixing it with water and brushing the purple onto the fabric. The hair is yarn that I unwound piece by piece to make it more dred-like. The sunglasses were from Pizza Hut...
Hey Radionate,
Gonzo and Clifford are about 12 years old now. I made them when I was 15. I'm 27 now. Marvin and Audi's Dragon are a few months old and Audrey II is about 2 years old. I just recenlty got back into doing puppet making. I decided its what I should be doing. Thanks for the feedback.
Hey Gang,
Just letting you know that I updated my webpage with pix
of Muppet recreations I made back when I was 15 years old and had very limited
resources. My link is in my signature.
Let me know what you think.
Hi,
I'd suggest getting the Juliet Prowse one since it is the first Muppet show ever!
Also, on the Diana Ross one there's a great UK skit with Beeker singing
"Feelings" with Electric Mayhem that is absolutely, my favorite thing. It is so funny!
I also like any of the shows from the first...
hey punkNpuppets,
Depending on what type of foam you used, I do believe you can dye the foam
with rit dye. You'd get a more Janice look than the velvet-y look of the Muppet Show pigs. I spray painted an Audrey 2 puppet I made with both regular spray paint and a spray paint that is used in...
Hey all,
Does anyone know a fur fabric that is compairable to antron fleece in terms
of its dyeability? For example, I'm interested in a fur fabric like Fozzie or Oscar the Grouch.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks
Patrick

Hey Toasterboy,
Scroll through this site. They have a number of possible flesh tone recipes using their dyes. If your local stores don't have the exact colors you need, go to joann.com to order the dyes. Hope this helps.

For the most part, yes! It dyes lovely, it stretches quite nicely, and it also hides seems incredibly well. Don't think of antron fleece like polar fleece. It's more like an upholstry material, almost like the fuzzy carpeting in car interiors. I wish I had been using it ever since I started...
UPDATE !!!
I added a couple new pictures of another puppet I made of "Little Shop of Horrors" Audrey 2 hanging out with Marvin, hee hee.

Hey PunkNPuppets,
I emailed the Georgia Stage place and asked for samples of
both the 12oz and 14oz before I ordered, and she sent it to like the next day! Try that to get an idea of what the fleece looks like. She sent me little 2 inch pieces undyed and 1/2 inch colored samples, just to show...
Hey Dreamer,
I just haven't gotten around to teasing out the fleece on the arms, fingers yet.
However, check the head again, and you can barely see the seem running down the middle of Marvin's face. I'm truely amazed how well it does hide the seems!
Thanks for the comments.
Patrick
thaks for the feedback Scooter.
I haven't actually thought of making puppets to sell.
Not yet anyway. Hmmm...
Something to consider. I guess if there was a need to do so I could swing it.
More later
I absolutley love antron fleece. Up-close it looks a bit different than it did in the pix. The dragon is made of polar fleece however...
As for Macs, yes I think its the best way to go. But It all depends on what your using your computer for. I've been a mac user since college (1994.)
Mac...
Hey Gang,
Check out my puppets I've recently made.
Let me know what y'all think, and let me know if there are any problems viewing.

I guess that all depends on size, materials, time it would take to make.
If you wanted say a Kermit size puppet, that could cost roughly $150-$200 dollars. But a puppet like Gonzo, with the amount of sculpting involved, could be much more. The cost could be less ($20 or so) if the puppet you...
