The Josh and Tamra Show Performing in LA

i just started puppeteering in my church's children's ministry, so while i've been a huge fan of both puppets and improv for a while, i'm just now getting my own freak on. it's still improv, but obviously more tame than traditional improv. i hope to keep building on my experiences and get to a...

CG Tom & Jerry, Yogi Bear & Jetsons?

yeah, those aren't disney's best cg work for sure. and hey, why can't we accept the idea of feature length traditionally animated movies anymore? why's it all gotta be cg? studio ghibli still has the right idea and creates some fantastic 2-d animated films.

Muppet American Idol: Search for Muppeteers

oh, i was thinking more along the lines of an actual puppetry competition rather than a scripted spoof of american idol. that could also be very cool. heck, if disney would just attempt to do something for prime time with the muppets a la "the muppet show", i'd be happy.

CG Tom & Jerry, Yogi Bear & Jetsons?

it's not so much the studios making the money from the box office as it is that people getting paid for a project getting the green light. Sometimes, studios or actors or directors or whoever, will move on a "junk" project just to finish up a contract so they can move on to their next gig. it's...

CG Tom & Jerry, Yogi Bear & Jetsons?

i agree. the sole reason to do these types of remakes or whatever people want to call them, is the all-mighty dollar. i've tried and come very close to selling a property for tv / film development in hollywood, and the fact is that production companies don't want to shell out the money to secure...

CG Tom & Jerry, Yogi Bear & Jetsons?

yeesh, these kinds of news bits slowly work to chip away at my childhood. yes, there's nothing new under the sun, but most efforts to bring back or "revitalize" properties from the past are half-hearted at best. i do, however, have faith in rodriguez as he's usually pretty loyal to the heart of...

    Summer Festivals

I'd love to make it to the national puppetry festival in atlanta but it looks like registration is nearly $400 bucks a head. i assume that includes lodging on campus at georgia tech where the festival is held, but yikes that's a lot of cash. there's a small ministry-centric puppet festival in...
