See, here we go again. Anybody that is critical of the new show is labeled as a hater and told to go elsewhere.
And if you think Kermit bragging about being one of the best at manipulating people is true to his character then I don't know what else to say.
Well, if you can't see the difference in context between Kermit and Miss Piggy having a drink while getting to know each other in the Muppet Movie and the Muppets going out and getting totally plastered, not showing up for work or showing up for work hungover as in tonight's episode there's...
For me it's not a matter of not wanting them. They look fantastic. It's a matter of sticking more money into another line of figures. And then there is the matter of the space to display them as the Palisades set already takes up quite a bit. In the end, my love for the Muppets and need for...
Thanks. I'm not sure I want or can stick more money into another line of Muppet figures after having almost the complete set of Palisades. Would be nice to fill-in some of the missing figures though.
That could be a problem for the success of this line and I'm sure they considered it.
I hope the Muppets are seen as being better than Charlie Sheen and Lindsey Lohan. Is that what's acceptable for the Muppets now days?
I think that's the whole point of those non-true fans of the Muppets.
Pretty much agree with all of this, although I don't find them repellant. They are, afterall, still the Muppets. I'd like to think that somewhere deep down there still exists all that makes the Muppets good.
Next weeks show should be another nail in the coffin. From the previews the Muppets go...
Pot meet kettle
You're the one that seems to take the attitude that I'm right so everybody else is wrong. It is possible for "nostalgic" "old" "casual" fans to be critical of the show without hating it and wanting it to fail. There is a range in-between I love everything about the new show and...
Generalize much?
You do realize that the Muppets can make a show that isn't an exact copy of the original Muppet Show and still be true to the Muppet characters and personalities, right?
I haven't seen anywhere where people are complaining that the new show isn't just like the old show or...
This one sentence pretty much sums up how I feel about the new show. Trying to "humanize" the Muppets is just totally the wrong way to go. Why have the Muppets if they are just going to play some character basically? You could have hired any actor/actress and assign them the individual Muppet's...
Except we haven't seen any of Miss Piggy's interviews with the guests? You mean the one in the 1st episode? That wasn't an interview. It was a 30 second set-up for a joke.
I had the same reaction although it won't be very popular around here. Very underwhelming. I have lot of problems with the show. First, I think they are trying too hard to get in as many Muppets as they can in each episode. They'd be much better off on concentrating on just the core. The...
Well there can be a balance between too snarky and too cute. They need to find that or the show won't catch on with casual fans. I never had a casual Muppet fan tell me that the Muppets were too cute. But I have had several tell me they came across as mean and snarky. Most casual fans only know...
The voices were all OK to me. Not perfect but they were good. What bothered me most was the character of the Muppets in general was waaaaay off. I felt they were all a bit meaner, a bit snarkier than the true Muppets we've loved. I've always seen the Muppets as this weird ensemble of...
