What would you include in a Muppet TV special collection?

Well they were fairly limited edition, right? And June is more than half a year ago -- so to have sold about 30 or so in the space of that time isn't much, especially when you consider how many people pass through there.

for Busts, the shop outside the MuppetVision theater had 1 Link Hogthrob, and that's all I saw anywhere.

Sweetums is in the parade? That's awesome -- if not shocking. A large hairy monster who has essentially been MIA since the 80s is the last Muppet I would expect to see in a Disney parade.

I'm off to WDW next week and I'm absolutely pumped up to check out MuppetVision 3D. I know there's also a Muppet shop at MGM. Are there any other Muppet-oriented things at MGM or WDW to check out?

Yes, but I don't think that would have anything to do with the edits to the show. It's all based on copyright issues.

Interesting thing is there seems to be different edits to what ran in the States and Canada. I've gone over the list of edits and compared to what I taped from the YTV broadcast a few years back, there seems to be very few cuts. I think there's about a gazillion versions of this broadcast...

A sign of how much things have changed since this special first aired: Elmo doesn't have a line in the whole show.

It was as commercial as it gets, IMHO. But it was not without it's charm. Even with the Disney propoganda, it's a really enjoyable special.

There could be a market for this DVD -- just promtoe it as "the Muppets Go To Walt Disney World starring Raven" and it would be an instant hot-seller with the tween female set. :)

T-shirts are what I'm mostly after, anyways, so that's good to hear.

Muppet stuff can be hard to come by here in Canada, and I'm off to Disneyworld next month so I'm hoping that with Muppet 3D there, they will have some cool Muppet merch. Anyone been there recently and seen what they have?

Anyone know if any Canadian or US networks are airing it? Here in Canada, YTV and later their sister network Treehouse were airing it annually, but stopped a year or two ago, and don't seem to have it scheduled this year.
