Same here. Received my stimulus payment on Tuesday. And while it sucks having reduced hours, the $600 add-on to the regular unemployment will be larger than my regular check. But somehow, we just aren't doing enough.

And maybe our resident 'Murica-hater should take in to account that $2000 a month in Canada is the equivalent of $1500 in the U.S. when taking in to account the conversion rate. Please get back to me how we aren't doing enough compared to Canada.

Yes we do. I don't think anyone is arguing that really. That's the way out of it before a vaccine is developed. But it needs to be controlled or we'll end up with situations like New York or Italy where the healthcare system was overwhelmed.

That's why they are doing the study to see if Californians had it in higher numbers when they thought it was an early flu season. If so and they've already developed a herd immunity it would be good news and a positive sign we may eventually get back to somewhat normal
