I just wondered if they were any Dire Striats fans out there. My father, brothers and I all love them. I myself have Brothers In Arms, On Every Street and the greatest hits set Sultans of Swing on CD and DVD in the case of the last named but am hoping to get more.
I remember Return To Oz. I must have seen it 5 times now. I must say, I had no idea Margaret Hamilton played Aunty Em in this picture, although I knew she was the Wicked Witch of the West in the 1939 picture.
On a sad note, Margaret died the same year Return To Oz was released.
For me, the most disappointing episode was the one with Librace. Not that I have anything against Librace but IMO there was too much of him and not enough of the Muppets. Espcially in the second act.
Mind you, I loved the Leo Sayer show. The best part for me was when Miss Piggy tried to do that...
Well actually it has happened outside the US. Where I live, ABC nows show Elmo's World as a seprate programme. I understand the same thing happens in the UK. I have to say, I find Elmo's World now enjoyable as a show in its own right.
I have to admit, at first I was worried about the idea of the Henson Company going in this new direction, but I came around when I learnt that Jim Henson was an adult performer at first.
I think that Sesame Street changed for the worse in 1998. Yes, you've guessed it - the reason was Elmo's World! But really, the show has been changing with the times since the day it began. I suppose Elmo's World was when we realized that it wasn't the same as it was in the seventies.
However...
I don't have any right now, but there were two shows I used to have and wish I still did:
The Case of the Missing Chicken.
Eight Takeaway One Equals Panic.
Although Little Muppet Monsters never came on in Australia, I am aware of it as they showed a clip of it in Muppets A Celebration of 30 years. I remember telling my brother Joel that I would love to see that show! I didn't know it only lasted 2 shows in America.
I too have noticed that the...
I would have to agree with Ilikemuppets but of course Fozzie Bear is right too when he says not to be inflamatory.
Just for the record, I am of the Catholic faith. It's a faith that comes under a lot of cristicism but I'm still proud to be Catholic.
My Mum and I try to go to Church every...
Okay everyone I have found somewhere in Mornington to stay. It's a place called Lemontree Cottage. I leave in slightly more than three weeks. Can't wait!
I'm looking forward to this picture. I am optermistic enough to believe that the film will be a good one.
As anyone who has viewed my profile will know, Fraggle Rock is my favorite of all the Muppet productions.
I agree, Elmo was just anything Muppet in the Eighties and most of the Nineties. It was when they started having Elmo's World that he became a right royal pain in the rear end.
After reading the above, all I can say is how glad I am that I don't have to go to school anymore.
While I sonsider the first school I went to to be the worst, it was high school where I really struggled. The work that was set was so hard that I couldn't get started in some cases and the...
I would love to know more about it myself, in fact I started another thread about it, a link to which can be found down below. I can tell you this much, the Sunday version ran in the Australian Women's Weekly from either 1971 or 72 and must have gone until 75. I don't know what papers the daily...
Just thought some if not all of you might be intrestested in knowing that my brother is going - if he hasn't already gone - to Western Australia later this month, and Mum and Dad are going to Queensland. I hope they all have a good time.
I am hoping to go away myself later this year. I hope to...
