If you can hear it on your computer, you can record it by going through your sound card. Alternatively there are programs out there which allow people to rip the audio stream from it. (More advanced, but probably better quality.) Though I'm not sure that doing it the latter way is legal.
I happened to catch SS on early this morning (what else is there to watch at 5am on Saturday? And no, I wasn't up early, I was up late) but he was doing a letter of the day segment on the letter D and wrote himself a sign that said 'Don't' to keep from eating the cookie, and then he ripped into...
Got a few more to request. All from Sesame Street
Born To Add (Bruce Stringbean)
I Wish I Had A Friend To Play With Me (Bert)
Barn In The U.S.A. (Bruce Stringbean)
I Want to Hold Your Ear
ZZ Blues
It's Just a Rock (But I Like It Fine) (Big Bird)

Hmm. I don't think I saw either one of those. But as Daffyfan said, the clip I'm thinking of is from the 80s. Now that I think about it, my Dad probably has it on an old beta tape from around that time, but it's likely hidden under mounds of stuff. :P
I appreciate the offer very much, but I don't really have anything I could offer in trade of non-digital media. :/
At any rate, I'm not sure what brought it to mind, but I was just wondering if anybody else remembered it too.
I'm trying to remember a bit more about a SS clip from probably the mid/late 80s. Here's what I remember:
Snuffy comes to visit Big Bird dressed as a cloud. Big Bird asks if he's an inside-out Oreo cookie, and Snuffy responds that he's a cloud. I *think* it was for a play they were doing at...
Hey guys!
I FINALLY got my list compiled. I've got it in MS word and HTML format, so if anybody wants it, let me know how you'd like it and I'll send it over.
SS:
Most of the main "babyish" characters they use these days (Elmo, Baby Bear, Zoe, etc.)
TMS:
Wayne and Wanda
Probably other minor characters
Fraggle Rock:
I can't think of any off the top of my head that I didn't like, but I used to hate it when Mokey or the trash heap would sing...
Going a little more on topic...
I, personally, can't stand to watch the modern Sesame Street. A lot of that has to do with the little red fuzzy terror. It's not only that though. I do understand Frogster's point that a lot of things made these days is aimed at kids. It's not that it wasn't...
I've gotten a hold of quite a few new things in the past day or so too. I'm working on compiling my list and realizing I have a LOT more than I originally thought.
And yet still so much to go after! Neverending quest. I guess that's what happens when something has been around as long as the...
When someone creates something as new and innovative as Jim did with the Muppets, it would be hard for anybody to be able to match the level of creativity. The post Jim Henson muppets are indeed different from when he was involved, but that's to be expected. (To be fair, it wasn't just him that...
I may just be imagining things, but it seems like he used to call Telly something having to do with the fact that he's always worrying. I may be completely wrong here, though.
I've gotten a hold of a few more songs, but the main thing I've gotten a hold of is all of 'Ol Brown Ears is Back' to add to my previous lists.
Anyway, my main reason for posting is that I'm wondering if anybody has songs from 'Bert and Ernie's Song Along' where Bert's trying to take a bath...
They were in the celebrity version of Monster in the Mirror. There's a part where I think in the normal one the two mosters in the picture frame fly by, but in the celebrity version the simpsons come and chase them out and sing the chorus. Then at the end Grover's carrying the picture and Bart...
I seem to remember her being rather partial to John Denver to start with, anyway. At first when nobody wanted to go to the swamp, didn't she bully everybody into saying they'd go? (And then she found out what it would consist of and I don't think she was too fond of the idea, and maybe of him...
I do. I forget where I found it. In my opinion, it's extremely monontonous. Jim's version is at least fun. This recording is more something that would make me poke my eardrums out with a screwdriver if I had to listen to it continually.
