I finally got my Animal Fisher Price puppet as a gift last year for X-Mas. It was the one Mupept item that I really really wanted. He is super cool too, the way his mouth & eyebrows are both functional.
Unfortuantely, to get one in good shape, you are probably going to be looking at $45 or...
Two paint schemes?!?! Oh, man- they're KILLING me over here!
I still can't even find ONE exclusive Kermit at TRU, and now I'm expected to find TWO different Fozzies?!?!
Ken- I IMPLORE you: KEEP THE POINTY FINGER!! Not only that, but make sure it can touch Fozzie's nose!! It'll be just like the movie when Fozzie finally re-appeared & was caught "digging for gold" by the rest of the Muppets!
Before I actually saw the picture, I was looking for one detail, and it was there: an extended index finger!!! (Makes for good nose picking, dontcha know...) Way to go, Ken- you really nailed this one!! Also good to see some MOVIE-based figs slowly making their way out there!! :)
Phil, thanks for sharing this info. I'm upset that I have to wait longer to go to my first Muppetfest, but at least now I can do something with those 3 extra vacation days I was saving from work.
On a side note, before I read this, I had a dream that MuppetFest was announced, and it was in...
Special Ed-
As I said before, the movie Ken was performing for us was "Monty Python & the Holy Grail", not "Men in Black". He just switched a couple of the words. Luckily, his masterful delivery clued me into what the movie was.
Monty Python & the Holy Grail?
Oh- and the correct answer would be eyes, with shades as a pack-in. :D
OK, Ken, spill what you DO know about Muppetfest.
First off, Ken & frogboy- personally, I think Piggy is a pegwarmer because she is annoying. Don't get me wrong, as a fan of the Muppets I accept her and all, and she DOES have her moments, but she has never been a favorite of mine, and I suspect the very casual fan/observer thinks the same...
Hey Ken-
As far as the Gonzo exclusive goes, has any thought been given to making an "after the stunt" Great Gonzo? What I mean is, just keep him in the same color outfit & everything, but maybe dirty it up, put dents in his helmet, bend his nose up, make his eyes wide open, and maybe put...
I like the bobbing head idea a lot!!
I'd also like to see some household things, like lamps & rugs.
A new board game or puzzle would be nice.
My wife would like some scrapbook items, such as paper & stickers.
Some apparel like jackets & ball caps would be cool.
A new comic book series...
I'm happy to report that I haven't had any problems with my figures. They're all posing on their stands, with their respective props nearby or in-hand.
Kermit leans slightly forward, but not in a defective kind of way. To me, it just looks like Kermit looks. His head always kind of stuck out...
The Electric Mayhem bus was just an smaller, older school bus.
But I would also like to second the idea of an Electric Mayhem bus, when the time comes to second such a motion!
So, just so I can keep score, you've now bought, opened & painted TWO of the Kermit exclusives, while I still have yet to find ONE of them at any of my local TRU's...
Life is not fair.
I could live with waiting until 2003 for a Pepe- as long as we DO get one. That's an excellent compromise, foreignman!
OH- and just to avoid the topic before it starts, make Pepe the same size as Rizzo (whatever size THAT will be)!!
