Phil,
Mind if I ask what doem of those "other reasons" are? As I see it you've basically just changed it so it looks silly to those with higher resolution screens. People with lower resiloutions screens don't notice a chanege but it looks silly to the rest of us. Just wodering if you could...
I'm not too familiar with Kukla Fran and Ollie but I haeve seen soe clips and have seen some of Burr's other work. fro mwhat I undertsand he was a marvelous improvier and usually liked to keep tihngs loose that's whay so many of the KFO episodes seem to go off on a few tangents. Anyway, if...
Here here, Marty terrific talent and a wonderful puppeteer. Many people don't know this but Marty's career has spanned over 30 years in puppetry workign with puppetry great Bil Baird and later the Muppet. in addition, Marty was one of the key personnel in developing the series "Allegra's...
Didymus,
Yes, I have met most of the puppeteers on that show. Sadly, I haven't met kathy, but I do know or have met most of the others. I have a pic of me with Theo somewhere around. And I've gotten to try out the two pigeons as well as the information hen. Great puppets!
BUCK...
Didymus,
No, I happened to be visiting some friends who work on the show one day when they were short on extras and asked if I was interested in helping out, so there I am on the second tier in that episode. I don't think you can see me at all. I'm fairly certain the second tier is...
to me, the Muppet stage equals two things. You need a proscenium arch with a theater box for Statler and Waldorf and you need a curtain. After that, I kind of echo GW's thoughts. I'd do a few simple backgrounds that are representative of the show: the arches, the park with the fountain (used...
It's for 14 episodes which total make up both seasons 3 & 4. So it's kind of permanent. Sadly, "Between the Lions" is no more. They've stopped making them. WGBH (the production company that funds BTL) has decided that they have enough episodes to run in repeats that once their target...
I haven't seen the DVD so I really can't say. It seemed very dark in some places during the film but I took that to be a side fffect oof watching it ata drive-in.

hey gang,
Just got back form the Blacl Bear Film Festival's drive-in screening of "The Muppet Movie" I went up with my wife, Fellow MC regular "Pezbalubah" (aka Jamie) and his girlfriend Sarah and I can't think of a group I would have rather gone with. For starters, my wife...
The great Conjunction is the end of the world!!!!!.......Or the beginning.
End, Begin: it's all the same.
But seriously, I think a lot of people are taking time off. Ya know, cooling their heals a bit. I know some people have just gone back to college or whatever and don't have as much time...
Ow wow!!!!
I love the trimmed Floyd. Thanks for putting him up Ken. Can't wait to get him (and Fozzie). I love Animal too! The chain is what really ell it for me as a charcater. Congratulations on another job well done...
LOL!!!
Yeah remember back a few hundred pages when we had someone who thought Ken was TWO people: Ken AND Lilly. Who was that? I don't know why but that really amuses me right now...then again shiney things amuse me right now...
thanks to the tip from Scary Larry Wolf (and the mumblings of some mad man at my local Lowe's) I was able to locate some earlier today and have built a mouth palette for a puppet for an upcoming gig.
To answer Warrick's wuestions about how to use it....
1) Cut your upper mouth palette...
It's used in cars although I'm not exactly sure for what. You can obtain it in most auto supply stores. I'm actually going to go out and look for some this week for a puppet i'm working on. If I get more information. I'll let you guys know...
Yeah and in the Of muppets and Men TV special, Richard also makes mention of the fact that Scooter is basically him when he started working with Muppets.

Beau
I read too much, watch too many BTS documentaries and have WAY too much time on my hands. Seriously, most of it is out of either Of Muppets and Men (the documentray and the book) , the Unpaved book, Jim Henson the Works or some of the various articles over here at MC that have appeared...
The thing baout the Muppets from a design standpont is that Jim Henson dealt with abstarct forms and very simple geometric shapes. So many of the Muppets (unless desginated, frog, bear, pig, dog, etc.) are just that abstract forms. Even early on, as many around here will tell you, Kermit was...
Dangit, Luke, don't tease me like that!!!! I was SOOOO hoping to see your collection today and turns out to be a BIG joke!! *sigh* Oh well, I guess I'll have to sit through Emmy's stuff for now. Hey Emmy, do your pictures onvolve any kind of naval fluff...
I don't know if anyone has seen it but Henson now has www.creatureshop.com up and running. I haven't looked around too much, but so far it looks pretty good. It's more of a corporate site than anything else (akin to www.ilm.com or Stan Winston's site) but really nice. Enjoy...
