    Or use a small doll joint and on the rod make a small loop, then you can just hang the rod loop on the doll joint and snap it closed, and when you need to you can snap it p=open and take the rod off.;)

    That sounds good for a Big Bird......but Bear is a little diffrent because he has foam forming around his legs....There are mascot sites that you could look at that have behind the scenes and then you can translate that knowledge into Puppets
