Why must everyone bash Muppets from Space?
I really liked that movie.
The BEST is by far the original Muppet Movie... so adult, yet suitable for children. It also had the best songs.
I am not a big fan of Muppet Treasure Island because I don't like when the Muppets play characters...
Why is Lips dark brown? I always thought he was yellowish.
Otherwise cool line-up, even thought I already have two different Chefs. Pops rocks!
I'm from Chalfont, PA. Right near Doylestown outside of Philadelphia.
I currently reside in New Jersey because I work in New York, but I come back to PA every weekend to visit with my girlfriend and family.
Go Flyers!! ;)
I'm an Aries from '79.
My birthday was yesterday (the 7th). I am a quarter of a century old! I got a great Muppet poster for my office wall!
My brother-in-law's birthday was the 1st.
Well, I agree with just about everyone else. I wasted an hour of my time. And an hour of my father's time.
I watched this at my parents' house and subjected my dad to an hour of Elmo's World. I am actually slightly embarassed. I would not have been ashamed to watch a retrospective...
Hey all,
I have duplicates of a bunch of Muppet Figures (I won multiple auctions on e-bay) that I'd be willing to sell.
Let me know if you need any of the following.
Janice :flirt:
Dr. Teeth :D
Floyd :sing:
Clifford
I have minimums in mind for each figure, but I...
I also have an extra Rowlf. Got them from two different E-bay auctions.
The cheapest I got him for was $20 plus shipping, so I'd be willing to part with one for that price.
Sorry, no extra Zoots.
'79 here.
Maybe I was too old to get into the Muppet Babies, but I never liked them... Right from the start. I have ALWAYS been a huge (classic) Muppet fan, though. Made my parents play the Muppet Movie 8-Track constantly!
The FCC Won't Let Me Be...
Consider it signed!
I hate this new trend that is going down where the government is trying to control and regulate more and more!
Here's my collection:
SERIES 1
. Kermit the Frog
. Miss Piggy
. Dr. Teeth
. Dr. Bunsen Honeydew
. Tuxedo Kermit the Frog
(Muppet Labs w/ Beaker is currently owed to me by a friend)
SERIES 2
. Fozzie Bear
. Floyd Pepper
. Crazy Harry
. The Great Gonzo
(I am currently high...
YEAH!!
STEAKS FOR EVERYBODY! It's one big love-fest!
Well, if you don't get into an arguement over what is cannon, there are easily 10 instances of Kermit loving Piggy. Even if you were to name each Muppet movie as one instance (but to make it easier on yourself, you can take a couple...
Well there is absolutely no way I consider "Muppet Babies" to be canon. The easiest way to dismiss them is to just say that it was a cartoon and it was simply an extension of Piggy's fantasy in TMTM.
The only thing that throws me is the Muppet Baby film in MFC. I've thought about Beth C's...
Hrmm...
Blah...
I just don't think the Muppets doing Wizard of Oz is what they need to invigorate the characters.
I want to see more of the characters doing ORIGINAL stuff.
I guess we'll see, though.
Darned Muppet Babies Ruin Everything!
Which leads me to the question... should "The Muppet Family Christmas" (the one where the gang spends Christmas at Emily Bear's house) be considered canon? And, if so, what was up with the Muppet Baby film ("the Muppets first Christmas together")? It...
I guess I've always kind of considered "The Muppet Show" to be like "real life". All the backstage segments are how they interacted with eachother.
And once their variety show took off, that's when they went off and made movies.
I'm sure this has been discussed over and over, but the...
They are friends
Well, you are right.
Kermit DOES love Miss Piggy. As a friend. She has always wanted it to be something much more than it was.
The reasons the movies contradict eachother is that Jim Henson has always claimed that the movies were just that... movies. The...
