It was neat to see the Fraggles on screen again with this long-awaited release... My only quibble with this set was the lack of Gerry Parkes. Granted, this was the UK version, so why would they release that with Parkes and not McKay?
Living in Denmark, we got the US series (with Parkes and...
I think it's for archival reasons only - I mean, what's the point of having an archive containing 30+ years of shows, but "we kinda sorta cut away the old street segments because of space limitation, non-PC content, or whatever". Who knows? Something like Unpaved might return again (or those...
Since A&E's online store won't ship this baby outside of the States and Canada :grouchy:  , I am hoping that some fellow Muppet fan can help me out with this... :flirt:
New or used - don't care, as long as the set is complete and not damaged in anyway. Yes, I live in Europe, and yes...
I think I read somewhere, that Jim never intended Dave to do any SS stuff - much like he didn't intend Caroll to do any TMS stuff... That's the way it was, and apparently that's still the way it is...
I don't think Bill would ever do stuff on SS. He was brilliant on Kermit's Swamp Years, but...
To my ears, it sounded like Jerry was doing Statler; Pops I can't comment on, 'cause I didn't pay attention when he was on, but I'm pretty sure that that wasn't Jerry doing the voice of Robin. It sounded very off compared to practically every other appearance of Robin in the past 25-30 years...
It's probably old news, but that's part of the danger of being the new guy around here... ;)
I found this intriguing interview with Frank, where he talks about the Muppets in the 60's, Star Wars, his movies and his (at that time) current projects...
That german version don't sound right to me... :smirk:
I grew up watching the german versions of TMS on german television, and AFAIR they used the original score for it and dubbed the singing (like in the french version); this one here is an all new score that sounds like it was made using...
Well, since nobody apparently wants to share anything (maybe there isn't anything to share, really), I've taken matters into my own hands. ;)
The only thing I've come across so far is this here, that states, that Eric was an intern with The Puppet Company as a puppetteer back in 1996...
Saw it tonight, and was pleasantly surprised! Lots of (now) rarely seen characters like Leon and Didgit, and generally a feeling of JHH. Neat stuff; too bad, that there was only so much Muppet stuff. :)
Can anyone confirm that that was Richard Hunt narrating that episode?
Anyone have any information on him? I mean, how and when did he join the company, and what are his past merits, if any?
I am a huge fan of his work - his voices and puppeteering is so dead-on, that it's almost scary! :)
Actually no, I don't think so.
Disregarding any of the (at that time) other future collaborations (Frank as Yoda and Lucas on Labyrinth), A New Hope was really a long-shot regarding its whole conception and production. Even though it made a huge impact (yeah, that's and understatement... :p...
In MFC he actually talks a little bit scandinavian: When he first arrives, his greeting is "Glaeeele Jüüül", which sounds very close to the danish version of "Merry Christmas": "Glædelig Jul". :)
Any swedes or norwegians to comment on this? :D
Yeah, anyone know anything about him?
Besides Jim and Frank, does anybody know, who puppeteered these skits? I'm not that familiar with the early productions, but I'm guessing that Jerry Juhl would be one and Jerry Nelson (although I can't recognise his voice).
Also, does anybody know how...
Being sort of a newbie Muppet collector, I was very pleased with vol. 1 with the "Of Muppets and Men" feauterette, slightly less thrilled with the "Muppet Classic Theatre" on vol.2 , but very, VERY exited about the 30 year anniversary special on vol. 3!
I've been looking for this ever since I...
