Yes I was refering to the puppet building forum, think it's been a whole month since a post here. I love seeing everyone's creations keeping puppet making alive.
I thought maybe there's a new forum that people were using...
I still come back to Muppet central at lest once a week. I love the...
This used to be such an active forum and now a month can pass without a single post...
Has everyone moved to a different hangout.... I must have missed the memo.
Where is everyone,?

Can someone suggest a cable that would be suitable to control a puppet eye mech.
Is the cable or usually spring loaded or is the spring usually part of the actually eye mech?

I know there is a company selling half dome eyes in the UK.... But can't find a link to it, or remember what it's called....
Can someone help me out and remind me.

I've always used Pentonville Rubber for my sheets of reticulated foam, based in central London. But just the other day I was looking to buy a block for carving and came across "the foam shop" online not used them yet but looks like a good website with a choice of reticulated foam.
Think I'll...
E-bay is always worth a look, but it always tends to be standard single colours rather than the more interesting speciality fur.
I NEVER pass a fabric shop without poping in, you never know what you might find...

Well he's not quite perfect but i'm super pleased with him.
Living puppets seem to have distributors across the globe so you should be able to track down a supplier, if not in the US maybe in another English speaking country.

Hey FeLo
I'm a puppet fan here in the uk, i've made a few puppets too. When i first became interested in building i got a great deal of info from these boards to guide me on my way.
i've used Pentonville Rubber for my foam supplies. It's located in central london and is one of the only places...
The store also had same scale. Bert, Ernie, Elmo and Cookie.
Bert and Ernie looked a little off but bearing in mind they are toys and not high end collectables kids would love them.
Elmo was good, but as one of my favourite puppets of all time he'd have to be PERFECT for me to even consider...
Yes he came in a fabric trash can, which i have removed. it was WAY out of scale! as you can see he's perfectly happy in his new larger metal home.
The original DID also have a fabric lid but it wasn't attached to the puppet itself. it just had a little button hole so that you could attach it...
ops sorry i didn't really explain myself fully...
it's an offically licenced product made by living-puppets, but just could not find any reference to it online so couldn't work out if it was a brand new product?
since my post i've found more info posted on what i think is their official...
While I was on holiday in Poland last week imagine my glee when I happened upon a reasonably sized Oscar the Grouch puppet!
I’ve never seen him on any internet site or auction so had to have him!
He measures 60cm from base of fabric bin to top of head, but as soon as I got home I set...
I love my MR Muppet posers, and would love to see a range of Sesame Street posers. Yes I KNOW this will never happen. So would be happy to have a go at making my own. Problem is suitable fur fabric is hard to come by.
So while I was on holiday in Poland last week imagine my glee when I...
Hi all
i just returned from hoilday from Poland where i found a large Oscar hand puppet in a toy shop.:grouchy:
He measures around 60cm from bottom of trash can to top of head (you hand goes directly into his head) and both hands are gloves so you operate them at the same time (if you have 3...
Dyon
I think they really have been discontinued i've been to several places who used to stock the tiny tins and they no longer have them available.
In fact the display racks have even changed so there is nowhere to even dispay them any longer.
And Checking on the Dylon website they no...
UK puppet builder, dying for help!
Hi all
As an ocassional puppet builder in the UK, i've always used those tiny tins of Dylon to dye my antron fleece.
But recently i've noticed they've been discontinued!
So can someone please advise me what is the best product (readily avaiable in the...
I ordered my Kermit from Forbidden planet (arrived in 2 weeks) and now, thanks to the low price, Gonzo (arrived in less than a week)
I know that some users have had issues with FP but both my repicas arrived in perfect condition and in good time, and with the current pricing they are a bargain.
Thanks Guys
I purchased Kermit at full price and was only planning to add Fozzie to my collection but at this price i can't afford to miss Gonzo.
I kept thinking (hoping) he'd come down in price but never really thought he would!
Thanks for the heads up guys, th little blue bloke is heading...
Hey Lab Rat i think i'm starting to dislike you....
I was NEVER going to buy Gonzo, He wasn't even on my radar.
But your pictures make him look SOOOOOOO good.
Now i'm wondering how i can live without him.....
Maybe i'll just have to spend some time over at the MR website looking at the...
