quick question about costume puppets
Inside all costume puppets there's a microphone and a portable tv screen for the puppeteer. However, my question is how are the wires from all the equipment hidden from being seen when coming out of the puppet?
Does anyone know if Barney is a puppet costume like Big Bird? If so, did any of Henson's people get involved in making Barney. I realize Barney isn't a Jim Henson Production, but did any of his people get involved in making the Barney costume?
I heard about this several times. Was this a TV show or something? If so, where I can see the pilot that was taped. Also, does anyone any know why this didn't air?
I've just finsihed my second puppet, I'm really excited about it. It came alot better than my first puppet.
For those of you who didn't see my first puppet, here it is:

Now here's my second puppet...
just out of curisority, do any guys on here think that Maria was pretty hot during her early seasons on the show. I do. Even these days, she isn't bad, she aged well.
:halo: WOMAN! WOMAN!:halo:
to be honest with you, I'm only 18 years old and still in high school, so I don't have the money for big equipment, so I just use a digital camera and a couple of lamps for lighting.
Well, first, I wrote some questions of what I plan to ask the people being interviewed, and collected some footage of different films to edit into the film. Right now, I'm looking for people to interview.
It's funny that you bought up documentaries and video editing, becuase not only am I an amatuer pupperteer and muppet fan, but I also do filmmaking. I'm actually in process of planning to film a documentary on "What's the Greatest Film Ever?" IMO as a avid movie fan, it's a debate among film...
I know this is going to sound corny, thanks for that. I actually feel pretty confident, that I can can go somewhere with my ideas. As the song says:
"Someday we'll find it.
The Rainbow Connection
The Lovers, the dreamers, and me."

You have a good point, but cartoons are universal and have been popular for a long time, not only with Disney and Warner Bros., but also Hanna Barbara, and MGM. Puppets have had some popularity, but it went beyond that when Jim Henson came around. My point is that no one can duplicate what...

I agree with you 100% but let's face it, it's not like anybody can just come up with a new group of puppets, like "Cuppets" or "Juppets", becuase everyone will just say, "that's copying Jim Henson." or "That's not original." Everyone will just feel that the person is just living in Jim Henson's...
I know exactly where you're coming from.
I've been a fan of the Muppets my whole life. As a little kid, I used to watch Sesame Street. It wasn't until this past summer, I started watching Sesame Street again. One day, I was on YouTube looking for Muppet videos, and out of nowhere, I ran into...
