Well, I ended up buying are really cool looking Maribou boa. The colors and length were perfect for what I wanted.
So when using a boa do you just cut off the ammount that you need and sew it in place in a spiral or what? I think I could get it to look like I want, I just want to know what...
Yeah, It ended up working out okay. The problem was that when you rivet the hand strap to the top portion of the mouth plate, the part that you put your hand in is too tight for your fingers and the edge of the plastic hand strap is too thick so it interferes with the shape of the foam head. I...
While looking for a stuffed bear for my wife for Valentines day, I came across some feather boas at WaL*Mart in the toy aisle where all of the little girl pretend dress-up stuff is. They were around 5-6 dollars. Are these the right type, or do I need to go somewhere else? They didnt Quite...
Well, Even though I have been taking my time to make sure I did a good job, Im almost DONE building my Armslength puppet already. It's really quite simple and the process doesnt really take all that long. I made the mouth plate, and put the foam head (ten pieces for the foam head) and body...
I got my kit yesterday too!! I have already begun construction on it. I have assembled the foam body and head and made the mouth plate!
My kit was missing a couple of pieces but they are easily substituted.
Ill take some pics of the progress and post them later.

This may be a silly question, but are you going to use the boas for the puppet's hair? I ordered an armslength kit and I wanted to know where to find the hair. I thought it looked like ostrich feathers.
I ordered mine about 3 weeks ago. I finally got in touch with David. He said it would ship out the middle of last week. Well that didnt happen, so Im still waiting. ill let you know when I get it though.
I ordered Puppet kit C and the video. I plan on makeing a photo journal of my progress...
