The nose actually looks bigger in the pictures than it is. I think I had to camera too close to the puppet and it made it look huge for some reason. It's actually a styrofoam ball covered with red fleece. It might be a touch too large, but I have a feeling a 1" ball would be too small, and...
Hey folks! I've been working on a new replica puppet, and I thought I'd show it off! It's Ernie!:p
I did some impressions with my Kermit and Rowlf puppets last year at a family reunion which were very well received, so this year Ernie and his rubber ducky are going to make an appearance...
I do a decent Kermit, and as an extension of that, a decent Ernie. My voices tend to skew towards Steve Whitmire's versions.
I once did a Rowlf voice. I worked on it enough to sing in character at a family reunion, but I've pretty much stopped doing it, so it sounds awful now.
I also do a...
I like the look of the puppet, but the stiff mouth movement bothers me.
What doesn't bother me is the performance! He may not sound exactly like Sam, but the personality was certainly there! And Kermit popping on-screen in classic Muppet Show style was awesome.:)
This is definitely one of my...
As far as the newer revisions of the puppets go, I'm pretty much okay with all of them except Gonzo, but I know that's been discussed before so I won't go into detail.
I'm also not super fond of how Scooter looks anymore. I can't quite put my finger on why, but something about him bothers...
"The Atlantic Ocean has been kidnapped...the kidnappers are demanding two Christmases a year and a hug from mommy every night."
That will always be one of my all-time favorites.
Not as amusing as the Extreme Makeover appearance, but still very good. Even though they never sang, it was really fun to see the Electric Mayhem serving as the house band. Not sure why that so cool, but it really made the episode for me. It's just a shame that we didn't see Gonzo anywhere...
This is great! Though it's kind of odd if you put your name in as Kermit...
Anyway, this might be the best online use of the Muppets so far. Gonzo squished up against the screen is now my desktop wallpaper!
Man, Piggy and Kermit look great! I might have a chance to get to Disney World this year, so if that happens I'll be sure to check out the parade. Very cool to see how good the puppets look!
Here's two of my favorites, even though I have no idea which episodes they're from:
Waldorf: You never know when something funny is going to happen on this show!
Statler: Did something funny happen?
Waldorf: Yeah.
Statler: You'd never know it!
I'm not even sure who delivered each line on this...
I've noticed that with the Chef a lot lately, actually. He's also wearing one in the pumpkin carving video and I think in Letters to Santa, as well. I assume, if nothing else, that means Chef's hands have a consistent performer!:hungry:
Personally, I thought the Electric Mayhem as a whole was just excellent in this special. It was great to hear them all talking again, and not just one brief line either. It's good to know that the voices of those characters are in good hands right now, what with the whole Mobile Mayhem Band or...
That's the picture I used to design the pieces for my Kermit replica. The picture obviously isn't going to create a perfect pattern, but it's a handy way to figure out how some of the pieces need to be shaped.
Kermit was mentioned on the Big Bang Theory last night. Howard was deciding what tattoo he wanted to get, and a picture of Kermit was one of the choices he considered. He ever did a little voice impression!
Just finished watching my copy. I think I enjoyed it more on DVD than when I watched it on TV last year. That might be because I already knew what to expect this time. Regardless, I do think it's an enjoyable special, and the extra content is pretty good, small though it may be.
Regarding...
Honestly, I think Kermit is the only one on that poster that I like, Muppets or otherwise. Goofy looks sort of fun, but the rest almost strike me as a little creepy.
I like Kermit a lot though. I may have to get one when they come out.
Yeah, I thought the Grinch gag worked okay because Grinch is a Christmas movie, and the movie spoofed a bunch of Christmas movies. I really hated the Croc Hunter thing, though. It was just so pointless. I personally really enjoyed the movie as a whole, but I distinctly remember thinking that...
