Everyone who knows Jim Henson, knows him best as a puppeteer, but what many don't know, is that his real dream was to make movies. He made The Great Muppet Caper, but he also made The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth, which are two fantasy films. Now, does anyone else here, besides me think that Jim...
At Pixar, different key animators take turns directing their films, from John Lasseter, Andrew Staton, Peter Doctore, etc. What if the Muppets were like that? Let's say all the key Muppeteers took turns directing the Muppet films. What kind of director, do you think they'd be and would they do a...
that looks great! How did you make it? I can't wait to see it when it's finished. Also, I hope you post your shot film online, I would like to see, sounds intresting. Good luck!
In your opinion, of all the actors that ever played Gordon, which do you think is the best? I think Roscoe Orman is the best one, and has done an excellent job playing the part, but if Matt Robinson had continued to play the part, I think he would've done an excellent job, and I wouldn't mind. I...
You said it perfectly. I love Frank Oz as well. People often say Jim was a genius. That's very true, but I also fell that Frank is a genius as well, both as a performer and director. I mean when he performed, he was just brillant, on and off camera. As far as film directing goes, he knows what...
has anyone ever used this liquid latex to make puppets?

If so, is this okay to use on foam or nylon, when making puppets?
I do, I think it should've been nominated for Best Visual Effects, becuase it's one of the only films that successfully pulls having great film with all puppets and no actors, by doing that, the Visual Effects helped a great deal. Not only the puppets themseleves are great achievments in visual...
"So, they find Big Bird in a cage and at they're like, 'Horray!' Then, they're like, 'Oh, crap'"
ROFL
"Then, there's this big car chase scene, and they're like 'Jump!', he's like, 'No', they're like 'Jump!', he's like, 'No!', they're like 'Jump!' and he's like, 'No', they like 'Jump!' and he...
I had a dream the other night. In the dream, my Dad wanted to give my Mom the leg lamp from A Christmas Story as a Christmas gift, and I was trying to get it out of the trunk of my Dad's car, but I couldn't lift, all of the sudden Bert and Ernie come flying out of no where from the plane they...
I just finished watching it and I have to say, after watching it made me apperciate the director of the film, Ken Kwapis. I've always liked his work, but after this again, I respect him alot as a director. For one thing, you can tell just by watching this that he didn't direct it, the way he...
I enjoy it, but I feel that they get too easily in these segments, it's really funny when they argue and Ernie outsmarts Bert. I realize that claymation is a form of puppetry, but are the puppet versions are even going to come back?
Well, you can go about making it in different ways, but I what normally do, is take a sheet of foam and draw six long diamond like shapes. I cut them out and glue them together. In the end I get a football like shape, and you got a body. Hope this helps!
At one time, Rowlf was the main Muppet of the group, what if it stayed that way and Kermit was never the main character, what do you think it would be like? What would be different?
I could see Rowlf and Fozzie being a team, as Kermit and Fozzie are. I could even see really funny moments...
What meant to do was to show how the life of a present person vs. the life of a person who relies on technology. The reason I said that a young man fights through technology is becuase when he's walking outside, he's the only one there, becuase everyone is inside with their technology, just like...
Thank you! They do parades, street shows, and stage performance. The majority of their puppets are costume puppets that are made of latex rubber. So, I'll be doing street shows and making puppets using the latex rubber, which is great, becuase I've always wanted to learn how to make puppets like...
