I agree one hundred per cent HOWEVER I do think that certain Muppet productions play better to today's kids.
I grew up with GMC as probably my favourite movie. Period. But I do think that for today's kids there are parts of the film that drag - particularly during the second act. I'm not...
Nowadays over here in the UK kids sort of know who the main few characters are, but that's about it as the show isn't on over here. My nephews could probably name Cookie Monster, Elmo and Big Bird, but I doubt they'd know the names of Bert & Ernie, Grover etc.
Sesame Street is more a...
We had a rehearsal last night and a few songs seem to be working. Dixie Wailin' might be good, but we seem to be falling down on the side of the slower songs like Sail Away, Let Me Be Your Song and Dream A Dream & See. We might also do Ladybug Picnic!!!
Hi I just wondered if anyone had Music Makes Us Real Ping! from Fraggle Rock? I want to perform it with my acapella trio and I have it on my iPod, but it's died and it was saved to a PC that has also gone the way of the dinosaur.
Thanks!
Hi Fraggle Fans,
I sing as part of a male acapella trio :sing::sing::sing: and we've been asked to perform songs around the theme of Children's Favourites. I've been wanting to do something Fraggley/Muppety for ages and this is the perfect opportunity.
I'm thinking of doing "Dixie Wailin'"...
Well we didn't have time to watch a movie today, but we watched the singalongs (Billy Bunny, Easy Bein Green) and he enjoyed them very much. They are definitely skewed to a younger audience so there was no surprise there.
Then we watched Muppets at WDW which just about kept his attention. He...
OK, so he's here sleeping over and we've made a start.
He enjoyed TMM up to a point and then completely gave up. I ended up watching the end on my own! It's a shame really, but I think whilst the middle section is fun for adults (with some great humor), for someone younger I can see how it...
Yeah the set was really cool. The game selector was in the centre with arches either side for the game hosts to appear in. Gregory's podium (as seen in the photo) is to the left and the scoreboard is on the right.
You can't beat that UK opening, zooming in through the lighthouse window!
Since it's cheap I may well invest in this. My niece is a huge FR fan so I might get it for her. :excited:
I don't have Children's Songs and Stories unfortunately.
I think I'll spend this afternoon going through all my stuff and finding all my videos/DVDs.:)
I'm not sure who his favorite is, but he does like Animal.
I have most of the compilations, but I think Muppet Revue was released under a different name so I'll wiki it and see.
I wasn't sure about Muppets Go To The Movies as I don't know if he'll get the references.
EDIT: In the UK Muppet...
He should be fine with MTI. He managed a trip on the Haunted Mansion and POTC at Disneyland Paris when he was 3!
I'll see what MCT I can find online. I may have some somewhere.
I have a Muppet Babies VHS which I've never watched myself so that might be fun.
I've been thinking about either TMM or TMTM as the older movie as I think GMC is a bit "talky" (it's only as an adult that I really catch a lot of the jokes) and the dance sequences slow things down a bit. I also wondered about MTI as every 5 year old boy likes pirates!
I'm trying to think...
I'm looking for suggestions.
My 5 year old nephew is a huge fan of "The Muppets" (he spends most of his day singing Life's A Happy Song or Man or Muppet) and I'm planning to indoctrinate him further so I've invited him over for a Muppet Day next Tuesday.
So my question is what should we...
