John Kennedy, a Muppeteer and puppet builder just released a fantastic puppet making book! it's called Puppet Mania!, and I highly recomend it to anyone interested in puppetry. Right on the back cover it hasquotes from Bill Barette, Dave Goelz, and Caroll Spinney, all raving about John and the...

The Foam Book by Drew Allison & Dnald Devet
Puppets: Methods & Materials by Cedric Flower & Alan Fortney
The Complete Book Of Puppetry by George Latshaw
101 Hand Puppets by Richard Cummings

Snead,
Thanks a ton for the info! I loved that show, as Homer would say "stupid Fox".
Can't wait to see the new sites. You make me wonder though, are you involved with any of them?
i saw the Muppet Show On Tour as it was called, back in 1985. It was the second and last year it was done. I still have the program and a Gonzo button from it. Anyway it was great fun, I still remember it well. Maybe if were lucky someone at Henson will put a recording of these shows on a...
Try Borders Books and Music, if there is one near you, they always get the Muppet stuff (I've been working for them for 3 years). Storyteller is a title they are carring in all their stores!
Thank you Henson folk......
It's simple, just a thanks to all the talented people who have kept us all entertained since the 1950's. Keep up the superb work, don't worry about the press or economy or silly network/movie people. Just keep on doing that magical Muppet thing and all of you will...
No way should they make any kind of sequel or prequel.
Usually sequels and the like are not nearly as good as the original when they don't have the original people involved. And whether we like it or not, those people most likly won't do it, especially without Jim Henson. So I don't think it...
I'm not kidding here, I think Brian Henson was in the movie E.T. the Extra Terrestrial. During the scene where Elliott lets all the frogs loose, I think Brian was in the classroom. Also if you have the chance tro look at the book E.T. From Concept to Classic on page 35 in the bottom right...
The Foam Book Rocks!
I've bought both the Foam Book and two One Way Street patterns from where I work (major book/music/movie retailer). The Foam book really is the way to go. It's the best book around for foam puppets, since most puppet making books just breeze over it in a chapter or less...
Live action Thunderbirds and Joe 90 films bother me. It would be alot more interesting if the films were done in their original Supermarionation style of puppetry, only jazzed up with modern technology and bigger budgets. It's kind of disrespectful in my opinion to puppetry as an art to do...
There were more episodes. Fox didn't air two or three of them. Plus Independent Film Channel had a show starring Greg, Warren and Blah. And before that they had their own public access show.
Super Scooter!
Thanks man. The site was up for a while, it was a fan site. The last thing it said was the IFC show was coming to dvd, then poof! It was gone!
I've mentioned before that I work at one of the major music retailers, and often we see repesenitives from record companies. I recently (if Jan. is recent) saw someone from WEA, the company that distributes Rhino. She said the first one has been selling very well and steady since it's release...
You nailed it on the Rowlf thing. There's something about that character that has to be just right. Hopefully in time Bill BAretta will warm up to it some more.
I had a huge debate many years ago with a friend about Kermit's voice, It was just as Chrismas Carol was being released. He was disapointed in Whitmires voice. I wasn't. For my friend , he wanted to hear a carbon copy of Jim, and didn't care much about weither a puppeteer even did the voice...
