Fur...
Hmm...fur is tricky. Most fur, so far as I know, will probably not take dye well. I've never tired this but I'm assuming this is so since a lot of fur is made from acrylic/synthetic fibers.
I would recommend searching for local textile/wholesale fabric plants and stores in your area...
Toasterboy,
That's it exactly! Thank you for the illustration....I was trying to figure a way to give him an mental image. That was perfect.

Bryan,
That sounds great. Sounds like you got a better grasp on it than you let on. Make sure when you finish up you take plenty of pictures? Btw, are you making a replica of Kermit or is it a custom creation? Just curious.
Good luck,

Bryan-
Here's what I mean..lay your sheet of foam flat. Determine how wide the body will be and big around you need to make the cylinder. Once you do that...then draw curved triangle shapes (the darts) on the top and bottom of the sheet of foam. This will determine the shape. Once you have...
Bryan-
Actually you don't make it from seperate sheets of foam allthough I suppose there is a way to do it that way. The way I'm speaking of is to cut darts into the top and bottom of the foam so that when you glue it together it forms a cyclinder that has slight curves at the top and bottom...
Body...
Bryan- Go get 'The Foam Book' by Greyseal Puppets. It shows a diagram of how to create an olive shaped body. All you would have to do is enlarge it to the size you need and create your pattern on scrap paper. Then carefully trace it onto your 3/4" foam and cut it out. I could show you...
Macy's Kermit...
Yeah I got one too! My boyfriend got me one for Xmas. He's awesome! Very soft but suprisingly well made. Also the voice chip was a pleasant suprise. Not sure about what to do with the camera though. Probably will leave it on him.

Woodstock...
Hey guys!
I have directed and played Snoopy in "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown". Everyone is correct. Woodstock is not a character in the show. We did something very similar when we did our productions. We took a stuffed Woodstock and simply tied him to a rod and used him as...
Eyes...
Bork,
I'd still go ahead and email David. He's figured out a way to make them out of two halves of the spheres. Darren, from Dpuppets (www.dpuppets.com) told me that David Pannabecker taught a workshop on how to make a full circular eye at a puppetry conference a while back. I'd...
Eye's...
Bork Bork,
Contact David Pannabecker at Arms Length Productions - www.armslength.com. He has a supplier for round white half sphere-type eyes. They have posts on the back with a washer that locks them into place. I'm sure Henson probably has a similar supplier if not the same one. I...
Will & Grace...
I love Will & Grace but I gotta be honest...last night's episode was not all that funny. Friend's was much funnier...
Anyway, I saw the Muppet Commercial today during my lunch.
Later,
Lee
OMG! I just saw the commercials for the Christmas Movie on my local NBC affiliate. I have to say it looks hilarious. Lots of slap-stick comedy and site gags. I can't wait. It looks like it will be great! Anyone else catch the previews yet?

Edgier Muppets..
Guys and Gals,
I think the edgier type style is a good thing. The Muppets are always getting themselves into strange and akward situations: jewel heists, showdowns with villians in the desert, contact with aliens. Judging by other people's posts, people would rather see them...
Puppet Hair...
Go to your local craft store and look and see if they have maribou and ostrich feather boas. That's a good source. If not some craft stroes like Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and Gardenridge (if you're in the U.S.) sell plastic packages of feathers. Most will come pre dyed but if you...
Muppet-oke
Fozzie,
I think that would be cool. I'd totally be interested in a copy. I do work with kids from time to time and it would be great for performers to use. Could even for birthday parties, camps, or for sing-alongs.
Thanks,
Lee
