Speaking of "Moving Right Along", isn't that song of the very few times we have actually heard Fozzie really sing? I liked it a lot, and I wish that Frank Oz had done more stuff with Fozzie going at a song full-throttle.

"Sing us a song, you're the pianodog
Sing us a song tonight
We're all in the mood for a melody
And you've got us feeling alright."
(Just doing a Billy Joel pastiche in my best Rowlf voice as a way of passing time until the next chapter :) .)

Tim Curry would have been perfect, yes! Likewise Sean Connery, Peter O'Toole (who wouldn't have come anywhere near the Muppet Show, of course), John Gielgud, Laurence Olivier and Malcolm McDowell.

The Sherlock Holmes bit is fun, and I have a thing for Baskerville as well. "Dog Eat Dog" is great. Funny, in real life I'm more of a cat person ...

I know about Rowlf singing to the puppy, but haven't seen it since I was kid, so I really don't remember it at all well. Considering how good the song itself is and how much I like Rowlf, I do hope that they won't cut it from the Season 2 release.

I agree completely. I like the fact that Rowlf seems to have been around, seen it all, and has come to terms with it in that laid-back, philosophical way of his, and without losing his sense of humour. At least, that's how I see him!
Pianodog.
Yes, as you can probably deduce I'm a fan of the floppy-eared one, and would like to hear what your favourite scenes are featuring him. Unfortunately we don't get to see or hear much of him these days, so I guess most of the good stuff is from the earlier years.
My favourites include the songs...
Java does have a point that I hadn't really thought of: May 1990 will be an unpleasant part of the tale. Impossible to disregard, though, of course.
Very nice chapter, first some comedy and then some melancholy philosophy; a good blend. I half expected, when Kermit and Rowlf were discussing...
Very nice Christopher Lee outline, Gorgon Heap. One small error in its introduction: it says Lee is the American equivalent of Vincent Price. You do want "British" or "English" there, I think.
I'm pleasantly surprised that someone else thought of Meryl Streep!

I'm a white (whiter shade of pale, actually; don't spend too much time in the sun) Swede.
Nominally a protestant, since I was born one, but am really an agnostic with atheistic tendencies.

I think 2. is really tragic. Do you know what is really different? To do what you want and like what you like no matter what people think. I keep listening to bands even if they are popular, even though I understand your feeling - I get the very same feeling, the difference being that I ignore...
I commend you on your choice of money spending. I'm oldfashioned, so I keep track of my DVD collection with the aid of pen and paper, but it's getting tricky to find all the titles easily, so I suppose that sooner or later I'll have to get computerised about the whole thing.
So how about some...
The best thing about that duet for me is the roar that rises from the audience when they see Kermit. A whole lot of love for the little green fellow there!
Pianodog.
This I do agree with: It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie is in my opinion by far the best of the new Muppet films, and i watched it three times the first week i owned it, which is something of a record for me. The only thing wrong with it is that cumbersome title ...
Pianodog.
While I don't agree with Barry Lee's opinion, I stand by his right to express it.
For my part, I had heard awful things about "Muppets Wizard of Oz", but being in bad need of some new Muppet material, I bought it anyway, and was pleasantly surprised. It's far from being the best Muppet movie...
