Hi, gang,
I'm working on a project that I need some pictures for. Right now, the first two I'm looking for:
1) A relatively large shot of that famous photo of the Muppets at the stage door, used on the cover of the "Muppet Madness" book--Kermit sitting on a suitcase, Piggy holding flowers...
You're right on the money. BK got the rights to sell those tacos in areas where there were no JITB's, because that's the exact same recipe.
I'd be happy to sell those on eBay too, but I doubt you'd want one that way. ;)
Man, there has just been an explosion of announcements about Muppet merchandise since the Henson family bought the Muppets back. All I can say is woo-hoo!!! This is one of the few Muppet specials I never got a chance to see, and I hear it's quite good, so I'm looking forward to it.
I'd also...
All this is very cool. Adding in the Muppet Babies promotions in addition to all the stuff mentioned in the article, I can't remember the last time we had such an outpouring of merchandise like this. It truly IS the best time to be a collector. :excited:
The only thing that could make this...
I am so stoked about this. Pepe is finally available!!! It's not the best likeness, but it's not terrible, and hey...Pepe's finally available!! :) :D
There are lots of Jack in the Box restaraunts in my area, so I'll be snatching these up and then making them available for you all...
Is it okay for us to be this off-topic if we're discussing things we're interested in, as opposed to just descending into needless jokes? As the thread starter, I personally don't mind, because what we're talking about still interests me. But I wondered if anyone else was bugged.
Re: Scooby...
Umm...I mentioned the Bill Murray/Lorenzo Music connection in my very first post.
No one listens to me...
(just kidding--this kind of thing happens)
Umm, none of the TV shows have ever been called "Scooby Dooby Doo." Why hold that against the movie? And I believe the "Cornelius" thing was just a joke.
Where did anyone see that Odie and Nermal are going to be played by real animals? That's nowhere in either of the articles I've posted. If someone has more news, please post the new article.
I respectfully disagree with those who hated the Scooby movie. The movie I hated was the Flinstones...
I'll second that, Muppetfreak. :) Roger Ebert once said, "A film is not what it's about. It's about how it's about it." In other words, I can deal with a Marx Bros. film where some innuendo is part of all the clever rapid-fire dialogue. I care much less for the hit-you-over-the-head obscene...
From Sci-Fi.com News:
ill Murray has signed on to voice the role of Garfield the Cat in the upcoming Garfield movie for 20th Century Fox, Variety reported. Based on the comic strip, the movie centers on the sardonic cat who must tolerate the indignity of being saddled with a nebbish owner...
Yeah, in a way Piggy appeared at MF. Animal appeared in TMS Live at the Fest, and Sam was singing in the background for a couple of numbers that same night. Fozzie didn't appear except in a clip from the Edgar Bergen episode. Also the puppet was used onstage for lipsynching during the "You're...
Hmm. Since they added Pepe, then it is odd that they didn't add Fozzie. Just for the heck of it, they should have given him Piggy's floating head. LOL!
That was the image used for MF, and that's why Fozzie isn't on there. As far as I know, Pepe was always part of the image, but I'll have to double-check the next time I'm back at my parents' in IL.
Gosh. Am I the only one who doesn't think these are attractive at all? Floyd, Dr. Teeth, and Bunsen in particular look rather laughably bad to me. (And notice how they spell "Beeker"'s name.) Unlike the Palisades figures or the Sideshow busts, which are spot-on, these likenesses seem very warped...
