Is there a vintage Sesame Street site out there with clips?

Thanks, sstvideo. I get complaints emailed to me every week that my Web site doesn't have enough photos or MP3s or video clips, and that all the text is just boring. However, I feel very strongly about copyright law. I understand that other people disagree, or interpret the laws differently...

    Favorite Count Von Count Moments

I have a Sesame Street Christmas album where the Count introduces us to that classic Transylvania holiday song, "All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth." It's wonderful.

    Noggin/Unpaved changes

No, ssetta, I would not sign a petition for a CTW channel because that is totally unrealistic. I think that asking Noggin to keep Unpaved right where it is right now, is fine. I think that asking Nickelodeon to do a deal where Unpaved plays on Nick At Night occasionally is also feasible...

Petition to keep Sesame Street Unpaved

ssetta, I don't know if you noticed the thread that Phil recently started about Nickelodeon acquiring Sesame Workshop's half of Noggin, but that indicates to me that SW absolutely has no interest in starting their own channel. Not gonna happen. You might as well give up that idea. Maybe a...

Petition to keep Sesame Street Unpaved

According to our ssvideo friend, Sesame Workshop cannot release entire episodes of the show on video or DVD as long as the show is on the air. I personally think this is a bit silly for the oldest episodes; on the other hand, as people have said, many of the best segments of the shows are...

    Tough Pigs?

If you guys keep this up, we're gonna use up our monthly quota of asterisks. Then we'll really be in trouble.

    Does anyone remember?

Monsterpiece Theater I'm a realistic person. I don't expect a Sesame channel, and I know that full episodes can't be released on video. But if Sesame Workshop ever released a "Best of Monsterpiece Theater" videotape or DVD, I would buy copies for me and for everyone else I knew. That's my...

Who are the top 5 posters?

slightly off-topic: Foreignman, that quote is from Blazing Saddles. It's part of that whole "Well, if you must pry," "I must, I must" bit with the flashbacks. Which had Mel Brooks in it, and Madeline Kahn, and had Richard Pryor as a co-writer, all of whom were in The Muppet Movie. See, you...

Petition to keep Sesame Street Unpaved

I signed your petition, and I appreciate your having put so much time and energy into the effort, ssetta. But I'm with scarecroe/Scott in asking for evidence (a news article, a press release) that Unpaved is being cancelled. Admittedly I don't have Noggin and so perhaps I'm missing something...

Is the sesame street a&e biography ripped on the internet?

How does your mom feel about ordering things over the phone? The A&E Web site lists a phone number you can use to place an order if you're not comfortable with using the Web. It's 1-888-423-1212.

    Does anyone remember?

It's a "Monsterpiece Theater" episode, and I've seen it recently, I'm trying to remember where. Maybe in one of the Elmo videos? Anyway, it does exist, you're not crazy. (Or maybe you are, but not because of that.)

Petition to keep Sesame Street Unpaved

If someone can give me a link or a press release or anything that shows that Noggin really is cancelling "Unpaved," I'll be happy to link to the article and to the petition on my Web site. But so far it sounds like the usual rumors (I did sign the petition anyway).

Noggin is getting rid of Sesame Street Unpaved!!

Noggin schedule? Does anyone know where I can get a good schedule for Noggin? I have a friend who has offered to tape Sesame Street episodes for me, but I can't find a full schedule on noggin.com. They don't list what's on afternoons/evenings. Please help me out, as I'd like to get as many...

    Is Bert being phased out?

I think now that Eric Jacobson is performing Bert, we are seeing more of him than we have in the past couple of years. Hopefully this means his presence on Sesame Street will increase in the next couple of seasons. Ernie seems to be more popular with small children, but Bert has his moments too...

What do you miss about "new" Sesame Street?

I miss the jokes that were aimed for grownups but that contained enough silly humor so that kids were entertained too. Sesame Street seems to be doing less and less of this bi-level humor. They're focusing on entertaining younger children and of course that's a Good Thing, but they risk...

    sesamebeat.com updated

Just wanted to let you guys know that I updated www.sesamebeat.com with about half of the Season 33 episodes of Sesame Street. I'm hoping to finish the rest of the recaps soon and get the site up-to-date. After that, I'll start working on recaps of the Noggin episodes. My sister and I watched...
