Oh, and my brother gave me a really funny card. On the front it shows a stick figure running off a precipace in flames wailing "A-WHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!", and inside it says "Hope your Valentine's Day is a SCREAM!" It's a reference to Denethor's demise in "Return of the King," a scene my brother...
Has anybody seen that commercial with the guy giving his girlfriend some fancy piece of jewelry for Valentine's Day in front of her class of young students, after flashing back to his first attempt at a gift way back when he was little - he gave her a frog in a jar and she was horribly...
I want to see it. It looks funny. I probably won't like some of the humor in it that much, judging from the previews, but mostly it looks like it will be a fun look at the story from a different perspective.

Wow! That's a lot of choir!! I go to a really small church, and we don't really have a choir. We used to have a children's choir that I was in, but that only lasted a couple years, and I always played the piano. I tried out for the school choir when I was like in fifth grade and they wouldn't...
Well said, Scooter. It was such a poignant performance, and I just loved the way that they pulled it off visually. The perfect accompaniment to such a bittersweet song. It's interesting what you say about Jim's fear of getting old; certainly not something I enjoy thinking about much. Who knows...

That's how my brother is. He's soooo shy; usually he'll have a crush on a girl for several months before he'll even let us in on it. But I think he did actually send an e-mail to a couple girls he liked at different times, which is way more guts than I've got. I've only confessed a crush to a...
I couldn't marry a guy who had an urge to throw away all my sentimental stuff. Grrrrr. Though it seems that it's usually the gals who are guilty of that. I would never do that to my husband. :attitude:

Well, I'm not generally a huge fan of Bowie's music, but I love his "Little Drummer Boy / Peace on Earth" with Bing Crosby. I also heard that he sang Paul Simon's "America" as the opening to his 9-11 tribute show, which I missed, but I'd love to hear that.
