Hehe, yeah. I started on Windows but it just didn't do what I needed, so I switched over to Mac. I haven't regretted it one bit either. They may be more expensive, but they're worth it in my opinion. Plus not having to ever worry about viruses or spyware is REALLY nice. :) I have a Yahoo...
Well I could do it, I use Compression Master 3. But unless you have a Mac you won't be able to use the software unfortunately. I use a combination of that and QuickTime Pro 7 for my video compression. I usually compress in MPEG-4/AVC (H.264), which offers great quality and great compression...
Yes, right now I'm using a pack of 50 Staples DVD-R's that I got for about $10.00 and which work great. I'll be sure and stay away from Memorex for the time being, LoL.
Quite right, the DVD-R's I burn have played in any player I try them in so far. And the chance of something going wrong during recording is pretty unlikely, it can happen yes, but probably won't.
D'Snowth, next time try using DVD-R's. This is always what I use. I edit video and make DVD's all the time, a good rule of thumb is if you're burning something you want to keep, always use a non-rewritable DVD format.
It is now also working in Safari. :) I can also e-mail this out to anyone who would like it, I have it downloaded and made a compressed version for sending via e-mail. Anyone who is interested, feel free to contact me and I'll send it out to you. The file is 7.7 mb.
Side note: That phone conversation was HILARIOUS!. :D

muppet_dk, could you e-mail me and let me know if you could send this to me over e-mail? I can't view it for whatever reason. It would be most appreciated, thanks.
Now that is a swell idea! I don't know, maybe there is someone here who does this or would be willing to do it, but I haven't heard of it being done before. I would do it, but I am very short on cash for materials right now and can't take on any builds at the moment. Great thought though.
It's a no go, and I have WMP installed on my Mac, I don't really understand why they don't put these videos in QuickTime format, it's so much better than WMV. I'll keep trying and see if I can get it to work though. If anyone has this video downloaded, please e-mail me.
First of all, I is jealous, you have Tiger! Grrr, wish I did. :) Dashboard especially looks like so much fun. Anyways, I'm on a Windoze computer right now and it won't play it. I'm running OS 10.3.9 on my Mac, I'll try the video on there when I get home and let you know if it works...
