Well, I've only noticed it on Sesame Street. I have however noticed that some of them tend to mis-spell a character's name, or type in a line incorrectly.
I was wondering if there's any special reason as to why the closed captioning on Sesame Street isn't very accurate to what the actual lines are being said on screen, and are greatly simplified? Are the captionists just lazy or something, or what?
Adult cartoons can get away with that stuff. Not so much with children's cartoons. I mean, they are JUST NOW being allowed to get away with using the word "fart".
The only thing I was taught in school aboot Pluto is that it was technically a planet, BUT there was controversy as to whether or not it should be classified as a planet at all because it's so small.
When it comes to learning new slang, I tend to be quite slow, so I have to ask: what's up with suddenly anything that turns out to be disappointing is "gay"? "Gay" USED to mean being extremely happy, and now here it is meaning something is disappointing? Who comes up with this crap?
