Here's what I understand about the subject: According to the Sesame Street merchandise (like beanies), "Elmo" first appeared on Sesame Street in 1985. From what I understand from the Sesame Street Biography, Harry Smith mentioned that "at that time, another Muppeteer, Richard Hunt, was Elmo"...

I've heard that Big Bird did originally have "googly eyes", but I've never actually really seen that myself; so I don't really know.

If I remember correctly, the whole Ernie and Bert around the world special was to be similar to the concept of the Global Grover segments, but with Ernie and Bert, and them actually travelling around the world... it seems like I remember seeing a promotional photo for it with what looked like...

Any days would be good except for Thursdays, when you really think about it makes my reviews in accurate (in case they were to air new bits when I can't watch it then they repeat it later this season and I see it not knowing it had already aired before)
