Well they had really loud laugh tracks during the earlier seasons, but halfway through they switched out for duller sounding whispery laugh tracks. But, let's let the Will and Gracers get back to their Will and Grace.

I felt the same way about M*A*S*H only in reverse: the earlier episodes of M*A*S*H were too silly, while the latter episodes had a better balance of comedy and drama.
