Guess what? The strike's finally over! The final agreement has been met at giving the actors a 10% increase in wages for three years, and risiduals (sp?) for any internet broadcasting they're asked to do.
Yes, this IS rather old news: they've been planning a stop-motion spin-off series with Ernie and Bert for quite some time, not to mention the fall of 2005 was supposed to see an hour-long special of Ernie and Bert travelling the world.
I'll believe this when I see this.
I recommend either Wal-Mart or Best Buy; places like FYE and Sam Goody will jack up the prices (though I have to admit, I was a proud customer of Sam Goody for quite some time before they closed).
Not quite: I've gotten seasons 1 and 2 on sale at $19 each, and I've managed to get seasons 3, 4, 6, and 7 (still don't have five yet) at between $28 and $32.

No actually, this was from a DVD: "Saturday Mornings with Sid and Marty Krofft": it's a DVD that contains the pilot episode of most of their shows including H.R. Pufnstuf, The Bugaloos, Lidsville, Land of the Lost, The Lost Saucer, and Far Out Space Nuts. One of the special features of the DVD...
And heralde is also right, the Krofft's head writer Si Rose said in an interview that Sid (who was younger) was always spilling out ideas left and right about all kinds of things they could do with their shows, but Marty would have to try to remind him that there were certain things they...
I don't know if they were over-buged either, but yes they were constantly over-budget with the show because their scripts always had TOO much content for a half-hour series, not to mention they wanted it to be filmed rather than taped (film is more expensive than tape), plus all of those puppets...
