Honestly, Animal scared me the first time I saw him on the opening of The Great Muppet Caper (I later found him to be hilarious).
Also, I thought Janice was a dude when I first saw her in the same movie.... Yeah....
I wouldn't have guessed.
Most Phil Collins news I've heard lately is just people ragging on him. And frankly I feel like it's just because they watched South Park.
Hall and Oates definitely has that music sound where you know it's them. (I also love that iconic picture of them looking at us all serious. :D )
You know, I really wish Phil Collins could have made a guest appearance on Sesame Street if he hasn't already.
It still begs to me why many songs/music tracks (at least to me) sound better in PAL audio.
I mean hey, have you HEARD some of the Toy Story songs/music tracks in PAL audio? Oh my god do I get goosebumps.....
Yeah, I won't lie, like many, I was also upset when I found out West kicked the bucket.
Family Guy, Batman, and even that low-budget 80's flick Zombie Nightmare shown on Mystery Science Theater 3000 in 1994 (and West even hosted the Turkey Day '94 marathon in honor of the premiere of that...
I had one last night that had Cookie Monster and Thomas the Tank Engine arguing about "Who had a better shade of blue."
(I won't lie though when I say I always wanted Sesame Street and Thomas the Tank Engine to crossover as a kid).
I'm not going to lie when I say "Together Forever" is better than "Never Gonna Give You Up" imo.
His songs do sound very similar, but in a good way to me. Not as something like, oh, say, Chris Brown throwing a tantrum of his love life?
Just saying, the Muppets version also sounds better in PAL audio.
(That also reminds me; I keep forgetting to get the blu-ray for that and Most Wanted. :( )
You know....
I actually wonder if anyone on this board has listened to any of his songs outside of Never Gonna Give You Up out of my own curiousness? Anyone?
It's actually long-gone, unfortunately. :( I deleted it off my YouTube channel only for not taking the risk of a copyright strike and my computer got wiped as well. None the less, it isn't something that really stands out for me years later.
I actually haven't seen that movie in a long, long time. I thought about checking it out again to see where my opinion goes.
Also, believe it or not, I've never seen Treasure Island in its entirety. Just bits and pieces, including Sailing for Adventure, of course.
Ah, right, Eric! He's done Guy Smiley since 2006, si?
And agreed on Ernie's laugh. Jim does it best. But I think we can all agree Jim was the best Ernie and Kermit, with Steve coming in second.
