Well, you got me there.
BTW, did you guys know that in some parts of the world (like in the middle east I think), watching television, and using the internet are considered sins as well?
That's not what I said; I'm just saying I think it's a little asburd that certain things are now being considered sins like polluting, and being rich and stuff. I'm pretty sure everyone here is smart enough and intelligent enough to know that the term "sin" regards wrong doing in the eyes of the...
Now being greedy is one thing, but being rich a sin? Now that's going too far! I mean, if that's the case, then being poor should be a sin as well, I mean, some people have no where to go, and have to do their business in public places, thus causing "health concerns" for other people.
Yeah, but...
I have to agree with Kendra and Heralde, while it would be wise if people did their best to NOT do certain things like pollute the atmosphere (and even littering for that matter), but actually being told not (and making it a sin in this case) isn't going to do any good because it's true: people...
1. Yes, but the problem is sometimes people have to COMMUTE, and walking would probably take too long.
2. Bike riding is an alternative, but again, for people who have to COMMUTE, it would take too long.
3. Hybrid cars cost more than regular cars, and people can barely afford regular cars...
Pollution, come on! Sure it destroys it the environment, but is that an excuse to decide that it's a "deadly sin"? And I while I agree that abusing drugs should be considered a "deadly sin", I'm also saying if that's the case, then how come excessive drinking and smoking aren't considered...
They specified "mind-damaging" drugs, and I know that a lot of prescription drugs have that whole "becoming dependant" worry about them, so I don't know if that falls in the "mind-damaging" category.
Not only that, but I've noticed there's been a lot of PSAs lately about abusing prescription...
I just heard on the news that the Catholic Church has added pollution, drugs, and genetic experiments in addition to the original Seven Deadly Sins.
Okay, what's the deal?
I mean, pollution? So what, people can't drive their cars, or take the bus anymore because they'll be "sinning"? If...
It's very odd... yesterday my scanner stops working, and now today, my printer stops working.
I wonder why that is?
EDIT: Huh, well, at least my printer is working again for some reason.
I don't get it... how come whenever somebody around here is having finacial trouble, they always end up selling their puppets? You guys should hold on to those!
Yeah, but apparently my parents are still searching through the real estate section of the paper. Our lawyer predicts that we'll still be here for a little while, but will eventually have to still leave anyway, but he DID say that if that were the case (assuming we have a good one ourselves)...
Well, here it is going on the second week of March, and we're still here, lol (we were being evicted on the 29th of February)!
Our lawyer tells us to keep the receipts from my mom's doctor visits, and physical therapy for her injury sustained for slipping and falling from the washing machine...
EXACTLY! M*A*S*H was a well-structured show that showed how horrible war was; whereas Hogan's Heroes pretty much was JUST "another sitcom" that made war look like a great time had by all.
EDIT: I'd also like to add to Drtooth's other point: the pilot episode of Hogan's Heroes featured a...
Those were funny, but I could tell they were altered; I have the "Dinner is going to be a little late tonight" with the pot of food on Jon's head WITH Garfield in a book.
Aw man... I hear rumors that M*A*S*H is being removed from TV Land's lineup for Hogan's Heroes and [scrubs]! :grouchy:
Oh well, at least I still have all the good seasons (One through Seven) on DVD, plus there's still Hallmark Channel, both of our local CBS affiliates, and I hear...
