Here's another I can think of...
In the 60s, two popular shows on the air were Hogan's Heroes and Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.: both shows had a character named Carter, and both of those Carters were the rank of Sergeant, so there were two "Sergeant Carter"s on TV at the same time back in those days.
And let's not forget Barney Fife from The Andy Griffith Show!;)
To tell you the truth, whenever I develop original characters, this is the reason why I always try to give my characters names you don't hear very often, or I'm pretty sure there isn't a major fictional character who already has...
Lol, who says "supermarket" anymore?
But yesterday? I thought it wasn't supposed to be released until today?
EDIT: Oh wait, I'm a day late, lol, it was April 1 yesterday. What's wrong with my brain today?
Aw, Simon's more of a nerd than a geek, but people often get the two mixed up. But I guess you have a point... been to FanFiction.Net, there's A LOT of stories focused on Simon and Jeanette, but there's also an increasing number of Alvin and Brittany stories. Poor Theodore and Eleanor, they seem...
Okay...
I just read on another forum that the DVD includes a featurette where Janice Karman actually cries over how Simon originally wasn't a popular character compared to Alvin and Theodore, and how she vowed to make him just as popular.
Now, apparently, Simon and Jeanette are the most...
I just realized something... this is the "I Hate the Heat Club", but we couldn't POSSIBLY issue jackets, now could we? I mean, that's be like being stuck in the middle of Antarctica and some idiot giving you a thermos full of ice water!
Ahh, so THAT'S how it works... that explains why originally only 54 episodes of Alvin and The Chipmunks were syndicated, then later only 11 more were added to the syndication package.
Drtooth is so smart when it comes to toons!
But now, let me ask you this... if what you say about 65...
My only problem with McDonald's commercials is that they change their slogan too much and too often... off the top of my head, I can think of the following past slogans...
"Do you believe in magic?"
"It could happen."
"Always good food, always good value."
"Did somebody say McDonald's?"...
A cartoon series would tank, mostly because they wouldn't be able to afford to have Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, or Antonio Banderez to resprise their roles.
No, they were just simply dropped from ABC, and then picked up by NBC, who wanted them to change the name from Rocky and His Friends to The Bullwinkle Show.
Other than that, same production company, and same animation company.
