Yeah, just about all of my female friends are heavily involved in the art world, and yes, photography is a major facet in the lives of one of them, actually.
It's amazing...
So, I had gotten the hardback edition as a Christmas present when it first came out, but like the general public, to me, I found it to be a bit of dry reading, and dare I say, I actually couldn't finish the book.
Howver, earlier in the year, a buddy of mine who works at a...
The only movie I've seen so far this year is Rango, to which I give a thumbs up - it turned out to be a lot better than I anticipated, it was a really clever modern-day send-up of old western movies and tales of corporate greed.
Other than that, I still boycott Friends With Benefits for...
You know, I just got to thinking... with the way Pixar is concentrating on just sequels right now, I think there's one movie that might should do a sequel of: A Bug's Life.
Granted, that wasn't one of their better movies, and it certainly seems like one of their more under-rated movies, I guess...
I said it before, and I'll say it until the cows come home... there is NO SUCH THING as an "accidental" overdose... the people who abuse these drugs KNOW what they're doing, they choose to do these actions, and end up paying the consequences, sometimes with their lives.
It's like parking a big...
Oh, I forgot, there's been a couple of episodes of M*A*S*H that did amnesia plotlines in peculiar ways...
One episode featured a casualty brought to the 4077th who had suffered a head injury, and everybody thought he was trying to act crazy to get a Section 8, but he believed he was Jesus...
Here's something I've noticed, soundtrack-wise...
In the early years of the show, it was obvious they tried to make the street SOUND like an inner city street, Caroll Spinney even wrote one time that in those early years, a sound engineer played a record with traffic noises and such over a...
Even though the temps are pretty much aboutthe same tody as they were yesterday, it must be more intense today considering the weather reports are breaking in with emergency advisories regarding the heat, and stressing people to stay inside and such...
Plus, I read today that so far, an...
Sarge, I wasn't holding up an example of SpongeBob as a bad role model as a role model in general, I was holding that as an example of just how much children's entertainment has deteriorated over the years... Heffer, Zim, Stimpy, etc, they all came from shows that were SMART, well-written...
Yes, and quite frankly, it's a sad and sickening pattern, but no one has emphasized the pattern more than Miley "Hannah Montana" Cyrus.
Because Disney Channel is family-oriented, naturally, these shows that the stars are featured on have to be family-friendly as well, but the problem with most...
Oh, I hate when that happens... that episode of Seinfeld where they did that? Worst episode of the entire series! The only thing funny about it was at the end with the "15 Years Earlier" flashback where Jerry first moves into the building, and meets Kramer for the first time.
KRAMER: Hey...
I agree with Slackbot, there are times when writing amnesia scenes are so unrealistic, that the cliche becomes a bad thing... like whenthe character comes to, not to ask who are they, or where are they, but when they awaken as a completely different person altogether... like, wasn't there an...
Well, you know, fans don't really help as much as people think: they create a "wind chill" effect if you stand right in front of them, obviously, but in the big picture, all they really do is just blow that hot air around, and actually make the room hotter than it should. :smirk:
But yes...
Hey, hey, hey, I'm not knocking animators or lack of talent, I'm just saying I have yet to see hand-made animation that looks as flawless as this... even The Princess and The Frog's animation doesn't look as smooth as this does... it just makes you wonder about any possible aide.
