Looks like PBS has a new pattern in airing reruns: one good episode one day a week (usually Monday), and bad episodes for the rest of the week.
But aside from that, I read the most hilarious YouTube comment today: someone commented about how dramatic D.W. always is, and said if she's that bad...
I know that the first three Muppet movies have gone through some restoration and edits over the years (as do a lot of older movies), but it seems like MTM has had way more edits over the years than other Muppet movies, just to name a few off the top of my head:
- Night scenes have gotten...
I was looking rhough People magazine at those we have lost this past year, and was surprised to see comedian Patrice O'Neal was on the list at the age of 41, I hadn't heard anything about his death, but I did read up about it, and learned that he had complications from a stroke he had back in...
Most celebrities just shouldn't get married, because their marriages never last... they don't take love seriously, they're too obsessed with fooling around with as many people of the opposite sex as possible... my mom used to LOVE John Mellencamp, but now has lost respect for him for dumping his...
Mainly because I wasn't necessarily lumping in day-dreams and fantasy sequences in my "study", I'm talking about lengthily, deep-sleep sort of dream sequences that take a look deeper into the characters' minds and such.
As a matter of fact, I just remembered another such dream sequence episode...
I know this is technically a movie, and not a special, but I always found A Christmas Story to be really weird and trippy, I don't know why... there's actually quite a few aspects of it that don't make sense... like when Ralphie beats upthe bully, why does the bully's nose bleed when Ralphie's...
I mean seriously, it's getting rully old... as soon as a married celebrity is photographed without wearing his/her ring, then all of the sudden, everybody's like, "OMFG! HE/SHE'S NOT WEARING HIS/HER WEDDING RING? WHY IS HE/SHE NOT WEARING HIS/HER WEDDING RING? ARE THEY ON THE VERGE OF GETTING...
This wasn't so much "haha" funny as it was "awk-ward" funny, but the other day at Christmas dinner, during the conversations, we had to explain to my nana, after it came up in conversation (and please don't ask why it came up in conversation), what a hoe is.
A while back we had a thread about the use of the amensia cliche in TV and movies, and whether or not it really served any real purpose to the story/plot or not... well, I've been thinking lately, and there's another writing cliche that I often wonder about too that sort of falls into a similar...
You're getting the Grinch and Christmas Carol mixed up: the Disney remake of A Christmas Carol was directed by Zemeckis, the Grinch remake was directed by Ron Howard.
I must say, I do kind of wish you guys were more open about your problems, it certainly would have made me feel a lot less "alone" in this department... :smirk:
But anyway, I AM happy to say I DO FINALLY have a new machine waiting for me in the layaway, and I'm so looking forward to it, it's...
Actually, I thought that was supposed to be the "recipe" for the Ed Sauce... XD I mean, I THOUGHT I remember reading that Kenan Thompson said in an interview that all the Ed Sauce really was was ketchup and mayo mixed together into a bright orange consistency. *Shrug*
If you ask me, I think Ed...
The Grinch remake a lousy film? Hardly. Horton Hears a Who!? perhaps... I mean admit it, the only reason that movie was remotely successful was Jojo, the arguably not-too-subtle emo character.
But anyway, here are some Nostalgia Critic-inspired graphics and such I've done this past year...
Elmo's Christmas Countdown, IMO, isn't all that spectacular... it's funny seeing an elf/Muppet caricature of Ben Stiller as a victim of circumstance in the special, but the special as a whole feels more like a Christmas version of Elmopalooza: like music video showcases and such. Kevin James as...
