The "I Saw Something REALLY Weird Today" Thread

This was actually yesterday, but I was in a roadside cafe with drink coolers in the back of the store, and I came across this bottle of stuff, I guess it was like an energy drink or something... but you know what the label on the bottle said? Well... I probably can't really say it completely on...

    The Don Bluth Thread

The Republican presidential hopeful who wants to cut all funding for PBS and turn it into a commercial channel, even going as far as to say, "We're not going to kill Big Bird, but Big Bird has to have advertisements".

    Opinions Obliterated?

Hopefully our point is CRYSTAL clear by now.

    The Don Bluth Thread

I just read something disturbing that I HOPE is false information... but apparently Don Bluth's second half cousin... is Mitt Romney!

Now what's going on with YouTube?

I am NOT giving Google MY cell phone number... the last thing I intend to do is hand over any of my personal information to Cyber-Hitler.

    Opinions Obliterated?

That's true Louis, in spite of the fact that even MC does have its faults, there's no other forum out there that has nearly the respectful community as we do: I've been at forums full of cynical, arrogant, cold-hearted people who take pleasure in treating others like crap, even the admins and...

    Any Ernst Fans?

Getting back to the twin brothers who don't look anything alike, something just struck me... I was reading up about Gailard Sartain, and it turns out he's still alive... so that makes me wonder, why was Chuck absent from the rest of the theatrical Ernest movies, pairing Bobby with other similar...

    Opinions Obliterated?

Well, the ironic thing is somehow the S4 and S5 DVDs haven't been cause for debate, any mention of that, everybody's like, "Aw, it's okay, SURELY Disney will come through for us whenever", but again, whereas news surfaces of an actual new project, such as a movie, special, etc, cast your doubts...

    The Don Bluth Thread

Honestly, I didn't hold Troll in Central Park too favorably as far as his movies go, but that could be just me. One thing I don't understand is... WHY did it take so long for us to get a Land Before Time TV series? After YEARS of direct-to-video cheapquels, didn't it stand to reason they might...

Hopefully we may have made this point redundantly clear.

    The Chiodo Brothers

I also forgot to mention that the Chiodo Brothers were responsible for the characters Take-Out and Fingers from The Charlie Horse Music Pizza.

Help Making Horns for a Monster Puppet Needed

Basically what I've done with horns is I have done it with patterns: I made a slightly curved, yet pointy pattern, and I've used felt rather than fleece. Fleece, to me, is good for things like fabricating the skull, torso, limbs, etc, but for features like horns, felt is a little sturdier of...

    Opinions Obliterated?

And again, that's basically how I've been trying to explain my opinions of past, and even THAT has ended up as cause for debate.

    Opinions Obliterated?

No, there's nothing wrong with being optimistic. It's a good way to be, it's healthy. I personally would LOVE to be what I call a "perma-optimist", and being able to see the bright side and silver lining of everything, but my problem is I didn't grow up with a normal childhood, and I don't live...

    Opinions Obliterated?

Yes, I felt the exact same way... and again, I was apprehensive about the movie, because Jason Segel's humor has a tendancy to be filthy, and with him involved with this movie, I wasn't sure what to expect, but not only to I leave the theater with a sigh of relief, I left with a huge smile on my...

    News Flash: The Fur

Haha, I loved it! I can totally picture this as an actual SST Newsflash segment!

    The Don Bluth Thread

I loved Don Bluth's movies growing up, they were quite the departure from traditional animated features of the time: when most animated movies were all bright and cheerful with happy-go-lucky characters, Bluth's movies were a little darker, with characters that were multi-dimensional, and we...

    The Chiodo Brothers

What do you think of these guys? They've done a number of puppetry and animatronic effects for movies and TV shows, esspecially in the 90s, such as the troll army from Ernest Scared Stupid, the flying burger puppets in Good Burger, a number of special puppetry for the 90s version of Land of the...

    Opinions Obliterated?

Okay, I'm not trying to start anything here, seriously, but if this thread ends up doing otherwise, I'll take responsibility for my actions. Anyway, this seems to have been an issue here for at least a couple of years or so, but it seems like there's no room for a difference of opinion here on...

    Help a Brotha Out...

Lol, I stopped wearing watches after my trusty calculator watch finally broke years ago... I NEVER have luck with watches, but that one served me well for a few years ago until it finally gave up as well... anymore, I just pull my cellphone out of my pocket and check the time that way. XD
