While, we're on the subject of characters changing their looks, does anyone know exactly when Oscar the Grouch first became green? I am curious about that since I know he was orange originally.

Actually, I remember reading that David was a drug addict or something in real life. I think he died because he got sick from eating grass or something. I'm not quite sure.

I watch this special on video every year and I wonder about some of the same things. As I have mentioned before Richard could have been Snuffy or he could have been a stand in for Carroll Spinney since Big Bird and Oscar are shown together a lot. I guess if Richard were alive today...

I've thought about that. I've read that Harvey Kneeslapper was retired because the laugh he did was hard on Frank's vocal chords, but then why not just let someone else do the voice? So I have to agree with you there.

Yeah. That is funny. I actually have that one on video. It's a bit out of character for Kermit though. I know he sort of ignored Miss Piggy on "The Muppet Show," but that was the first I've seen him say something that rude to her.

I remember her pretty well. She sort of sounded like Janice, only more cow-like. In fact I think she even made an appearance or two on "The Muppet Show." My favorite song of hers is "Proud to Be a Cow."

Oh, yeah. I've heard of that show. Maybe I'll check it out some time when I have time. I do remember reading that Ernie has made a guest apperance on that show.

Darn. That picture's not loading on my computer. I remember Ruby though. Wasn't she a short-lived Muppet that liked to expirement? I remember an episode with her standing out in the rain just to see how wet she'd get.

Drat. I still haven't seen the Tom, Dick and Harry one yet. I know that's on the Vincent Price episode which is one Volume 5 of Time Life, but when I received them they skipped from Volume 4 to Volume 7. I don't know why they did that?

That sort of puzzles me that Richard is credited on CESS (Christmas Eve on Sesame Strett, I thought I'd abreviate it), and he didn't perform Snuffy who the heck did he do? Maybe he was an assistant pupateer for Oscar when Carrol Spinney was busy performing Big Bird, or vise versa. That...

In answer to your question, Punk, the last time I saw the show it was run by Mr. Hanford, but I haven't seen it in a while so I'm not sure. According to the TV listings, I think it's now run by some guy named Alan.

That's possible too. Richard Hunt received credit in "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street" but I didn't see Forgetful Jones or Don Music or anybody in that special, so he could very well have been Snuffy. Actually, the voice there wasn't too different from Martin P. Robinsons. It was just a...

I never heard of Michael Earl Davis either, but that's probably who performed him in Christmas Eve on Sesame Street even though he didn't receive credit. Maybe I'll check the Internet Movie Database for info on him.

I love that song "With One Look." I sang it in chorus in high school. It was a good idea giving Zoot a bigger part though other than just playing the sax all the time. Maybe you should have added some detail to the "Pigs in Space" skit though. Maybe Lanford could have wrecked havoc...
