Yeah, I don't recall Richard's Elmo in anything, well except for "Follow that Bird" and that was only a breif non-speaking appearance. I do remember watching the show around the time Kevin started playing Elmo. He would appear on the street on occassion and in songs and skits, but not as much...
Yeah, I saw Kermit doing that alphabet thing with that little girl on the show today, when they did that '35 year celebration' thing with famous people talking about the show if you want to count that as an actual appearance by :). It would be nice to see him in a new Sesame Street segment or...
Yeah, I guess the Henson company wouldn't care for that much. I guess the closest we'll ever see is probably the opening scene in "Muppet's From Space" when Gonzo wanted to be on Noah's ark.
Yeah, I remember watching her on the show when I was a kid in the 80s. I remember she was graduating high school at the time. I just thought I'd bring that up. About, Gina having kids. You just meant in real life, right? Not on the show? I don't really remember anything about her even...
No, I don't think that was me. I wasn't referring to the magic ukelele in my post. I just commented on the early days of the show when nobody believed Big Bird when he told them that Snuffy existed. Sorry about the confusion.
Yeah, I would have liked to see Rowlf, but then again I knew from the beginning that Elmo would be counted. After all, he IS a moster. These days, it's sort of a treat to see the baker skits in general.
Yeah. I was going to mention that one. Also, don't forget they both had singing lines in the "Somebody's Getting Married" song at the end of TMTM.
Anyway, the earliest Kermit voice I can remember was probably the first time he sung "Bein' Green." It seems like Kermit sounded more like...
That is interesting that they'd remember that character. I also didn't think Jerry Nelson voiced characters appeared in the 'On the Street' segments too often anymore. It was good to see that. Now if only they'd bring back more remembered characters like Sherlock Hemlock, Forgetful Jones, Guy...
I mentioned this on another thread, but I wasn't sure whether or not anyone saw my post, so maybe I'll repeat it again here. I wonder if the 'invisible' Snuffy concept was a reference to the early days when Snuffy really was thought to be invisible.
I understand what you're saying, Beth. I have a lot of problems right now too and it's hard to find people to talk about them with. My mom is always busy when I want to talk to her and my dad's not always very sympathetic. In fact just the other day, I was disappointed about something and...
Hmmm. I think I do remember hearing Robin sing that one. I'm not quite sure when. I think I heard it on MC radio. I'm not sure about the Mr. Rogers connection, but you might want to check the Kermitage episode guide to find out which TMS episode that was.
In response to the one about Humpty Dumpty, I looked at a little of this episode today and I was wondering about the same thing. I believe that Kermit News Flash is at the Toughpigs website, maybe you want to check the pic of that Humpty Dumpty to see if it's the same one. Just a suggestion.
Here's another one: The Muppet Archies
Archie Andrews: Kermit the Frog
Veronica Lodge: Miss Piggy
Betty Cooper: Janice
Reggie Mantle: Pepe the King Prawn
Jughead Jones: Fozzie Bear
Dilton Doiley: Scooter
Mr. Lodge: J.P. Groose
O.K. Let's try Rocky and Bullwinkle
Robin: Rocky
Sweetums: Bullwinkle
The Great Gonzo: Boriz Badenov (I couldn't see Kermit playing a character like that)
Miss Piggy: Natasha Fatale
Fozzie Bear: Capt. Wrongway Peachfuzz
That's all I can think of right now....
Yeah. I remember a few 40 counts on the show, particularly the cartoon where a boy counted all the stars. He stopped at 40 then said 'and many more.' I believe it was around the 20th anniversary of the show since Bill Cosby mentioned that in the TV special.
Yeah. I saw the part the two cast photos. At that part I can see where Elmo can be annoying. When they mentioned the characters in the photo Elmo said something about him being there. Hello! Elmo was not in the show's first season and I didn't see him anywhere in the picture. He did...
