Role Play: The 2004 Muppet Holiday Party!

Oh. You look great as always, honey. *kiss* (Out of character: Sorry I haven't responded in a while. I've been busy and I guess I got behind.)

Has Elmo's voice changed over the years?

Yeah, I see what you mean. I've watched the 20th anniversary special recently and noticed that Elmo sounded slightly different than he does now. Actually, I thought "One Fine Face" was Steve's Ernie. That's what it said on the Lyrics Archive.

Why isn't Lips always a part of the Electric Mayhem?

I think another reason that he was added was to give Steve Whitmire a character who was in the band, since all the other main Muppateers had one.

Role Play: The 2004 Muppet Holiday Party!

:sing: (to himself) Oh, no. Zoot's flirting with my girl. I have got to keep him away from her.

The Muppets on SNL Dec. 18!

Thanks for the link, Count. I missed it when it was on, so it was good that I had a chance to see that.

Role Play: The 2004 Muppet Holiday Party!

Sorry, Piggy. I know I have my band uniform in my suitcase somewhere.

    Sesame Character Questions

Thanks for the info. I just wonder where Steve was during the second season of PWMS. Maybe he was working with Kermit on another Muppet project or something like that.

    Desiree Casado as Gabby

I didn't know that, but I guess that makes since since Miles was originally played by Roscoe Orman's real life son. I guess they have decided to do that until the can find an actor/actress to play the kid when they get older. Just a thought.

    Sesame Character Questions

I have a question about that then. Why did John Tartaigola perform Ernie on Play With Me Sesame then? If Steve is still the official performer of Ernie, wasn't he availabe for season two of that show. What's the deal there?

    Song: Admiral Bird (1971)

Yeah, it did look like an 80s Big Bird in that clip though. I thought around 1971, Big Bird would have had more of an early Big Bird look, but I guess it's possible.

Role Play: The 2004 Muppet Holiday Party!

Thanks, Janice. I can't wait to see what you got me.

    Song: Admiral Bird (1971)

Yeah, they showed a clip of that one on the 20th anniversary special and it seemed like it was later than 1971. I don't remember the actual clip itself though.

Role Play: The 2004 Muppet Holiday Party!

Well, I'd better go to the garage and wrap it quickly before she sees it. *exit Floyd*

    David's Grandmother

Really? She looked about ninety-something when she was on the show in the 80s. I'll have to check the net for more info on her.

    Mumford plays trick on Oscar

Hmmm. I don't remember that one, but I do remember one where Mumford turned Oscar into a nice person and turned Gordon into a Grouch.

Role Play: The 2004 Muppet Holiday Party!

*Out of character* O.K., I see now. Thanks count. *Back in character* :sing: Hey, how do you guys like this new Christmas ornament I got for Janice. (shows everyone an ornament displaying a group of kittens) The Count sort of gave me that idea.

Two classic songs on Sesame Street

Actually, I saw the episode with the apple tree song recently and I'm sort of curious about that. I don't remember it from when I was little, but I do think that was Jim's Ernie and Richard's Gladys at the end. Does anyone know how old that sketch was? I'm guessing it came out some time in...

    David's Grandmother

I believe it was Clarice Taylor or something like that. I think she's deceased now.

The Count, The Amazing Mumford, and the wedding

Hmmm. I think that one's a little different. I think Don Music is the Guy Smiley puppet rigged up so it looks like a different character. Same thing with Fat Blue and Simon Soundman.

Role Play: The 2004 Muppet Holiday Party!

(Out of character - Wait a minute. I'm a little confused. Count are you still playing The Count or are you playing Garfield now. After all, I had Floyd go with him, so I don't know if he went with the cat or the Count. Can someone please clear that up? Thanks.)
