Hey, if anyone can break a cage, it would be my man Animal. *to Animal*
Go for it!
*breaking character* I'll be away for a few days, just so you all know. Physically Floyd's still there. He's just going to be silent. Which we might see soon anyway, because of Jerry Nelson's retirement...
Yep. That's me! That's the first thing I think of when I hear that song.
Here's another one:
You might be an obsessed Muppet fan if you want your wedding song to be "Somebody's Getting Married."
Yeah. Jerry said even when he announced his retirement that he would still perform the Count. Hopefully, he'll perform Mumford, Herry and other SS characters as well.
I missed the King of Eight? WHY DOESN'T SOMEBODY TELL ME THESE THINGS AHEAD OF TIME??!!
Lol. Just kidding.
I do remember when they did a whole show where the Count directed 'Sleeping Beauty' where Gladys played Sleeping Beauty and he wanted her to snore so he can count her snores. When she didn't cooperate, he got Meryl Streep.
That's probably not what you were referring to, but I just thought...
Yeah, I've noticed that too. I remember seeing that one when I was little.
Woman: If I came home with that one Ralph would just kill me.
So they DO say 'kill' on Sesame Street, I don't think anyone ever said 'I'll kill you' though, but that conversation is in another thread so I'll shut...
Hmmm. I've noticed the change in Papa Bear's voice. I'm glad it wasn't just me that picked that up. I also thought it was good to see Barkley in the scene with Elmo on the tricycle. He hasn't been on the show in a while. That must mean Linda's still around since she's the dog's owner. I...
I agree. That was good. I was kind of disappointed though when Grover was shown at the end and he didn't say anything. It seems like Eric left and they just kept the puppet there. I also liked the Kermit the Frog reference. I was worried people might have forgotten about him being on Sesame...
Hmmm. I didn't know Papa Bear looked like Herry, but then I haven't seen it, so I guess he was just shown from a distance. I'm hoping Nelson will still voice his characters. He said he would for the Count, and Mumford makes an appearance this season. We'll just have to wait and see.
I wonder if the Count's appearance's are minimized due to Jerry Nelson's retirement. He said that he would still work on Sesame Street, but I don't know. Someone mentioned in another thread that Joey Mazzarino is voicing Herry now, so I don't know what the status is on Nelson's characters...
I think the plot will be resolved in the end. I'm sure the Sesame Street writers wouldn't make such a dramatic change to their most popular character, well next to Elmo that is.
Well, I'm 24 and I post here, so I guess you're okay. Lol. Anyway, the Two Headed Monster is still seen on the show in the Journey to Ernie segments, but I think Guy Smiley was pretty much retired after Henson's death. In answer to your question, you could check out the Sesame Street Lyrics...
