Real good so far. The only thing is there seems to be a continuity error. When the story started, Alan was running the store. Now, it seems like we're back to the 70s or 80s when Mr. Hooper ran the store and Snuffy was 'imaginary.' Other than that, I enjoyed reading it. I look forward to...
Yeah. I've seen that one on 'You Tube.' I picked up right away that it wasn't Carroll. I guess they usually get Matt to do Big Bird's talk show appearances while Carroll's busy with other things. One exception I want to mention though: That was definately Carroll as BB on "Dr. Phil." I...
Hmmm. I didn't notice Piggy being thinner. The biggest change in her appearance lately was her hair. About the voice, I didn't have too much of a problem. I thought Eric does fine with Piggy in the Pizza Hut ads. It's more or less talk show appearances where she doesn't sound quite right...
Thanks. I didn't mean to criticize or anything. I guess I was more or less blaming "Sesame Workshop" for messing with the original. Anyway, I look forward to seeing that.
I think it would have been hard to find a new actor to take Northern's place. Maybe they felt that kids wouldn't have been comfortable with a new David. Though I see what you're saying, considering they have done that with Gordon, but that was back in the 70s and I guess they had different...
Yeah. I remember they counted up to 40 in the 80s, but I don't think they ever had a number of the day above 20. Even if they did have a sketch with a higher number like in Numberella or 24, they still used a different number. I could be wrong on this, but I think that's the case.
Yeah. I was thinking it came out sometime in the late 80s. I'm not exactly sure when "Monster on the Spot" originated so I don't know if Brian did any of those or not.
That's really too bad because it seems like Frank and Steve did well with :( and :p especially in songs like "Things I remember" and "What's the Name of that Song?" I think that one was Frank and Steve anyway.
Technically Fluffy still hasn't appeared yet, considering we only see her trunk. Lol. Also, I never knew Fluffy was a female. I sort of thought the only girl connected with Oscar was Grungetta.
Actually, I've seen one for Dove soap, where all these celebrities come out and start to look different after using the soap and Piggy was one of them. She didn't say anything, she just gave a smile. Is that the same ad you're talking about or is it a different one?
Yeah. Most recently it's been Trash Gordon announcing the letter and the number sponsors and of course the Count has his Number of the Day segment, but it used to be a different Muppet or human character who announced it. I remember a lot of times, they had a voice over and didn't actually...
Yeah. I hadn't really thought of that. It couldn't have been done years ago because Frank performed both of them, but now that Eric's performing Bert and Davd's performing Cookie Monster, it's possible.
I'll have to think about that question a little more and see what I can come up with.
Yeah, the site's back up, but unfortunately, it doesn't look like they put back the missing clips. To be honest, I thought the one with the 'number painter' was kind of lame. I hope I don't get chewed out for saying that though. It's just my opinion. What I would like to see is the original...
Well, at the time Brian was performing both Telly and Dr. Price, so it would have been hard to have them in a scene together. Why they didn't use :) is beyond me.
Now it seems like they're doing the opposite of what they did before. Telly's MOTS role is probably more common now, since they...
I remember that one. It was basically that :) wanted to do his Sesame Street news segment, but Telly wanted to do a Monster on the Spot segment. At the end, they agreed to cooperate and ask each other questions. I don't remember much else the Brain Meehl Telly segments kind of escape me, so I...
It seems like the whole site has been having problems. I've noticed there are a lot of duplicates of the same video clip. I also get a lot of "page not found" messages. Not just for "Sesame Street," but for a lot of other videos as well. Hopefully, they'll get that fixed.
Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's been having that problem. Yeah they really should bring back the ones they deleted or else they'll have to deal with an angry mob of Muppet fans. Lol.
I agree that it was too short. They could have done more such as showing clips of Kevin performing Elmo or something like that. I also didn't like that they said that Elmo's been around for 20 years, when really the character was around before Kevin started performing him. It's too bad there...
