Yeah. Seems like Susan is coming back on more of a regular basis. I also liked the Bert and Ernie sketch, though I think it was a repeat. Still it was a good one.
Yeah. It seems like they had the same concerns about Rowlf since he was rarely used after Henson's death and when he was seen he wouldn't seen. It was said that this was done out of respect to Henson, but it's good to see him coming back into the spotlight as well.
Yeah. That would have been a good time to make a mention of Linda.
Same here. They have significant time to air more Muppet segments or even repeat classic segments (I'm still wondering if they'll ever bring back Henson's Ernie), but instead it's either Elmo or cartoons or whatever. They...
You took the words out of my mouth, Dr. Tooth. I liked that this one focused on the classic characters (ex: Big Bird, the Count, Super Grover) rahter than the ones we're tired of seeing over and over again (ex: Elmo, Abby, Baby Bear). Yeah. It has been a while since we've seen a human...
I missed the last half hour as well. I was wondering if the other Muppets besides Kermit, Waldorf and Statler would appear. I was sort of expecting the Great Gonzo since he was shown at the beginning. I'll have to search for that appearance online. Maybe Dave and Steve were the only...
In all honesty, I've never even seen that one. But I do have quite a few copies of the CD.
I voted for MFC. It's always been traditional for me to watch that with my mom during the holidays. Lol. I guess I said that a billion times already.
I agree. That song from the Rudolph Nureyev was classic. My mom really likes it as well. I guess it's sort of like it was redone with Vince in Rudolph's place and Eric as Piggy. Too bad they didn't have the hot tub though.
I have to agree with you about the voice. I watched "Letters to Santa" when it was on the CW the other night and noticed a weakness in David's Scooter voice, but in the movie, Dave's Scooter was a heck of a lot closer to Richard's. I got to admit those are big shoes to fill.
I can actually...
Yeah. I liked that too. Though I can't help but compliment Eric on how good a job he does with Grover. It is often hard to tell the difference.
I know what you mean. It's like Abby/Elmo stories and Prince and Frog stories have been done to death. I was sort of hoping they'd at least make a...
Yeah. I've noticed Pepe's brief cameo. I wonder if that was intentional so they could give the classic Muppets more airtime or what the deal is with that. It is true we don't want him to overshadow the other characters or become the classic Muppets version of 'Elmo.' But I'm hoping he doesn't...
I just got back from the movie now. I don't have too much time to type or to read the other posts now. I will say that it was a great movie overall. I liked the references to the first movie. Good thing Sweetums caught up with the gang on time this time around. I'll have to posts more of...
Yeah. I was thinking the same thing since I have heard that Pam Acrieo, or however you spell her name, often worked his left arm, or was it his right arm? I often get those two mixed up. Lol.
I liked the song by the Count. It's nice that he got some airtime.
Okay. This is getting crazy. Am I the only one who watches these Muppet appearances on talk shows? Maybe it's that people are having the same problem I do. There just have been so many of them lately, it's hard to keep track of them all.
Wow! No one commented on this yet. I guess I'll be the first. I thought Jason's take on the Muppets was interesting. Just recently on "Ellen" Kermit admitted that he loved Miss Piggy. Now Jason is saying that he's only going out with her because she's forcing it on him. Just thought I'd...
Probably to give Bob some airtime. Lol. BTW, was it supposed to be pausing and everything during the whole song? That's what happened when I saw it, but when that was over, the picture was back to normal. I didn't know if the insert was supposed to be like that or if it was just my local TV...
Okay. Thanks for the heads up. I checked my tape and I didn't see :). I was worried that part may have gotten cut off or something, but now it's good to know that I didn't miss anything. Keep us posted.
I believe the only human (not counting Detective Bates) was Chris but he only appeared briefly. It did sound like Jerry voicing Mumford, but sadly he didn't really interact with Abby. They just happened to be in the same scene.
I thought I'd make an edit here. I didn't see that someone else...
