I don't know about that one... His voice isn't heard very clearly. It's more of a chorus song. In the early Roosevelt Franklin Elementary School sketches we only heard the vocals over a shot of the school. In later sketches we saw a transparent view of Roosevelt and the other students singing...
I'm thinking that The Count's signature song was The Song of the Count, until The Batty Bat came around.
I think Don Music's could have been his variation of Twinkle, Twinkle.
Little Jerry and the Monotones signature song is probably Telephone Rock.
Chrissy and the Alphabeats...
I wonder if "My Name is Zoe" should be considered Zoe's trademark song, just like how many other characters have a trademark/signature/best-known song (Ernie's is Rubber Duckie, Bert's is Doin' the PIgeon, Elmo's is Elmo's Song, I'm not quite sure if Grover's is Over, Under, Around, and Through...
The recent 40th anniversary DVD, Sesame Street: 40 Years of Sunny Days, has a season 11 Elmo sketch where he has a different voice. Some have said that it's Jerry Nelson performing him there, but while it's a Nelson-like voice, I don't think it sounds like him... Maybe it's Michael Earl (some of...
I have a t-shirt with Animal on it, and it annoys me when people who see it think that it's Elmo, or acknowledge that it's Animal but then say he was on Sesame Street. Heck, once somebody actually mistook him for Cookie Monster.
Here is Harvey Kneeslapper trying to sell the phrase "AWAY FROM".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmilY1ydUfk
And man, it's gramaticaly incorrect. The mana t the end says "I'd like to get away from you"... shoudln't it be "I'd like to get 'Away from' from you?"
You know, I feel like The Muppets Valentine Show could work as a stand-alone DVD, as a valentines release. I'm surprised that it was never released commercially on home video. The cover could have a big heart-shaped image of Mia Farrow with some of the Muppets from the special, and maybe smaller...
When Jerry Nelson said to buy his album at the end of the interview, does anybody know whether he was joking or if he's actually releasing an album? I haven't heard anything about an actual Jerry Nelson album. In fact, while many fans have mentioend that he has a seperate music career outside of...
Has this season shown anything where Ernie was performed by Jim Henson? I would hate for an entire season to lack a Jim Henson sketch... Were any Henson performances on the show last year?
I didn't say it was impossible, I was just wondering if it's ever actually common.
As I said, there were quite a few instances where the restaurants were all out of Mr. Johnson's orders. Examples include:
the sketch listed as "All Out of Food" on Old School Vol. 2... Obviously the place is...
Mr. Johnson always complains about Grover's service, but I wonder if it's really more the restarant's fault than Grover's. Grover is just the waiter, not the cook. It's not Grover's fault that the alphabet soup didn't have every letter at first, and I don't think it was Grover's idea for the...
While looking at Muppet Wiki, I noticed that the earliest-known appearance of the "O'Briens Fast Food Restaurant" sketch was a season 20 episode. That's one more 1980s appearance!
You only had a few hours... But it feels like the whole interview lasts under 30 minutes. I don't really think of Featherstone as being that obscure... Granted, he's never been a big part of any Henson television series, and his two best-known appearances are in specials that haven't been...
After watching one of them again and looking at the area around the door, I can see that it IS a different set, though a little similar.
I also recently noticed that the "alphabet soup" sketch has a different colored door than in later sketches from the early years. It looks more reddish...
Part 3 has been posted. I must say, I really liked parts 2 and 3 better. I believe that there's only a few recurring characters not discussed. I think the only really important characters not brought up are Featherstone and Simon Soundman. I also wish that he would have talked about Beard from...
(the residents of both Sesame Street and Grouchland are both hanging out on Sesame Street. Party decorations are everywhere)
