    Super Mario Bros. Games/Shows/Toys

I have volume 1, and it does not have any of the episodes with Legends of Zelda (though the sneak peeks at Legends to Zelda are still included). I know that there was a DVD set of all the Legends of Zelda episodes, shown as stand-alone cartoons but with a few live-action Mario wrap-arounds as a...

What was the last DVD you bought and why?

I bought Peanuts 1970s Collection Vol. 1, because I bought the 1960s set. And I am glad to finally own a copy of It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown (I skipped the single-disc releases.... I almost bought a copy last year, but for some reason it was hard to find, even during the easter season).

    The Muppet Mindset

I never really thought of Martin Price's secretary as a "sidekick"... I feel like she wasn't aware of his real intentions. But then again, we don't see her long enough... Maybe she was aware, but I'm sure that she was just an honest employee. Reading the Martin Price article got me thinking...

    Muppet Peter Pan

There's an interview with Grace Randolph at Tough Pigs... She mentions that she'd originally planned to have Tiger Lilly in these stories... I wonder who would have played her (Annie Sue? Spamela?). Interestingly, I never though about that character being included... I wondered if mermaids would...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street 40 Years DVD Box Set

I think I have mentioned how disapointing the pop-up facts are, and I've seen others mention their disapointment with them at tough pigs as well, and I have been thinking... Wouldn't it have been great if they at least had the pop-up facts provide episode numbers for the clips that came from...

    Lips is Back!

And it's a bit awkward that he spoke when he wasn't even on-screen. If he was a fairly major character it'd be alright, but if people didn't think it was Floyd I wonder if they would have wondered whow as speaking the line.

    Could Baby Bear be autistic?

You say that he's not really like other bears or other people, and mention how he's not like people... But how is he not like other bears (I'll ignore the obvious human traits that most Muppet and cartoon animals have)?

Overused Plots in Movies and TV

For some reason I keep thinking that somebody mentioned an overused plot involving somebody deciding they would rather be more like one of the other characters... Can't really find it (though I saw a few that I could have mistook the comments for), but it is a bit awkward when first season...

    The RHLC!

You know, thinking about the credits, it seems like during the early years, they only credited main performers (and Richard Hunt... Not sure if he would have been considered "main" for a background performer), but these days (I think since the early 1990s) they credited background performers as...

    The RHLC!

There's something I've been wondering about Richard Hunt for awhile, and I'm not sure if I should post here or open a new thread (I can't quite figure out how to properly title it). Did Richard Hunt first officially become a performer in 1970, 1972, or in-between? We all know (or should...

Question about Jim Henson's Performer Credits on SST

He was credited as a performer on The Muppet Show. I think he was uncredited on one of the pilots, but not both. Can't remember which one he wasn't credited in. I think he was also credited on The Jim Henson Hour. It seems like he was usually either uncredited as a performer or credited last...

    Ruthie in season 30

Apparantly, Ruthie was still a part of the cast in season 30, even though "Around the Corner" was dropped. It's mentioend in the 40th anniversary book, there is a season 30 cast photo with her (the only time I can recall seeing her and Alan together), and she was in teh credits for season 30...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street 40 Years DVD Box Set

I've heard that distribution has now switched from Genius to Warner Home Video, and now the book is in paperback (it should have been this way in the first place). I've seen copies in stores today and when looking at the side, sometimes it looks like there's no book, and others it can be seen. I...

Just wondering which Muppets hadn't been chopped by Piggy?

Unless there's something I haven't seen (and there's an awful lot of stuff I haven't seen), then... Dr. Teeth Zoot Lips Sweetums Thog Doglion The Mutations Digit Vicki Seymour Foo-Foo J.P. Grosse (he came close, though) Hilda Bobo Nigel (both of them, actually)...

Overused Plots in Movies and TV

You know, one variation that I'd like to see: Somebody mistakenly thinks nobody likes his/her personality and has a big change, maybe even going as far to talk in a different voice, wear a wig, and even change their name... And at the end, after realizing (or just assuming) nobody liked that new...

More Looney Tunes DVDs coming to DVD in April

Well, I've heard that Warner has a policy of not allowing years to be listed on DVD packaging or original features on it's animation DVDs, though there are exceptions (the Popeye sets, though I hear that's because the character copyright holders demanded it, and the Peanuts specials sets).

    Things That Disappointed You

When I learned that the Muppets are really puppets, I wasn't disapointed, but I was disapointed to learn that Big Bird, Snuffy, and other full-body characters are costumes as opposed to really big puppets. Just kidding. Though somebody insisted to me that the Gorgs were just really big...

Overused Plots in Movies and TV

I think that is already the title of a Muppet Babies episode (I know, "who besides us would know?"). Interestingly, in all my years of aspiring to be a script/screenwriter and having many different ideas for television shows, episodes, and movies... Very few of the ideas mentioned in this...

    Transparent Animal

Somebody brought this up back when the first season DVD was released, and Was Once Ernie said somehting about it being a "burn" effect, or something like that, meaning that certain lighting could make things remain on-camera.

The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Thread!

It's interesting... Whenever Patty appeared in color, her hair looked brown, yet it wasn't made dark/ shaded in the black and white strips. Then again, Peppermint Patty's hair wasn't dark in black and white.
