Er, actually, the Broadway performance I was reffering to that Jim Henson wanted to do utilized the actual puppets and performers, much like The Muppet Show Live and Avenue Q. It would have been an amazing thing to see.

There was a movie of The Book of Pooh. It was released shortly before the new television series was, and was a direct-to-video release. Also, the series you're reffering to with the costumed people was also called The Book of Pooh. The show was just recently revived using puppetry instead...
