Well, they weren't really supposed to represent anything (except for maybe Sam, who looks like a human). That's why they were abstract.

The only thing my brother had to say about it was "too many close-ups. It made me feel like they didn't have enough money to finish any of the sets."
I haven't seen it. I actually don't have any desire to, either. Hehe.
It's simpler than it seems. The producer for Four Weddings and a Funeral was Duncan Kenworthy, who was one of the collaborators on Fraggle Rock and The Storyteller. I believe he's worked on several other Henson projects as well, including, if I'm not mistaken, Sesame Street.
