A few famous Muffin quotes from the U.S. of A.:

That is without a doubt one of the craziest things I have ever seen...and I have seen many a crazy thing in my day.
I'll try to get on that emoticon thing Alex! Cool idea definitely! If not, I'll either link your site or post those pictures in a special section of the BFC Pictures. :D

Are there, by any chance, means of getting these clips and such onto VHS? If so, I think that I can be of great benefit to you Evan, as you can be to me. Let me know, email me if you want.

Hah!
Those are really cute. My sister's dentist has a big Scandecor poster from the Muppet Movie in his office that I've never seen elsewhere (which is why I offered him $50.00 for it...and got turned down :(), so maybe he'll be using these sometime soon. :D

Well I mean, above all, I think Sesame Street honestly deserves it the most for Outstanding Achievement in Hairstyling.
:D :p ;)
But of course, from the bottom of my Muppety heart, congratz to everyone on the BITBBH and SS teams who are being recognized for their superb work in television...
Muppet Show, Ed Sullivan, Al Hurt's show (where I think he actually did the trumpeting live, though he was off-camera)....it really is a very good variety show-style act for the Muppets. Not to mention its just so gosh darn cool. I used to draw the Slinks on my hands all the time. :)

That might go good in the 'Members Only' Section. :D
And Alex, if you aren't a Scott, what in the heck are you (besides an awesome DVD makin' man)?!
:D

very interesting with the Addresses, but the reason I am here to post is to say:
sunday, your avatar is outstandingly cool, second only to Andy BenKenobi's
Very, very cool indeed.
Sorry to interrupt. :p

My definative answer to the posed question is: Yes, the term "Muppet" can be and has been used as an insult in the US, and well as other places around the world (I assume, being the UK members stated as such).
I'm sure it stems from the childish nature of the characters, but moreso puppets...
I second that. As your humble "webmaster" (term used very loosely, I assure you,) I think the fans have a right to see those pictures on the site. Holding out would be extremely unAmerican. Oh, wait...Scotland? Okay, extremely un...Scotland..i...en. Yeah.
:D

Your lack of fanliness is displeasing. :p
And I guess it sounds like Beaker for a second in the beginning when Fred is making those weird sounds. Other than that, I'd say it sounds pretty similar to the B-52's. :)
