Kermit's Swamp Years nailed those hopes for yours truly. I mean I wasn't a huge MFS fan, but I liked it when I was younger. MCC is one of my all-time favs. Thus, you can see it; one by one the crew disappears, step by step the quality errodes.
CG Muppet Babies?! Good lord...
I am all for a new endeavor involving the integration of CG and puppetry, but why bring the Muppet Babies into it? Playing off name recongition? Come on people...
If this were to be an entirely new project, fine, I'd be interested. But to rehash the Muppet...
All goes back to this consistant, perpetual degradation of entire Muppet image put forth with this rash of poor choices made after Jim's death.
I think this "Wonderland" nonsense would be the final cut-off; the point where the Muppet cease to be the Muppet we all knew and loved, and become...
Beau yet again hits it on the head.
I've always been amazed at some of the blinded optimism around here.
I am perfectly happy watching TMM and MTM, old TMS and FR, and rekindling the magic that once was through them. I see the Muppets, with this new crop of performers (not that they are...
Ah yes, Clone Wars is coming out. W00t!
Action/Story/Animation = Excellent.
Voice Acting = ...less than excellent.
Overall, definitely worth picking up. Could've been a lot more massive if they hadn't done the who mini-epic thing with the small episodes, but still, very cool.
Well, with Jerry stepping down, we're left with an extremely small number of original performers (Dave...and thats about it).
What do you think its going to be like when there is an entirely new set of performers? When there are no original Muppeteers left?
I think its going to be pretty...
I think that's what he is saying, Foz. And I agree. Talk about the most versitile voice in the Muppet camp. There is no way he'll ever be replaced properly.
Yeah:

Not much information about it, but sounds cool. As long as Scott and Dean are both in it and Don is writing, there's little that can go terribly wrong. :)
I sent a pretty in-depth email (ie. statistics, links and citations) yesterday.
I'm sure I'll be receiving that same response any day now. :boo:
Frags hit that nail on the head.
In the "Down at Fraggle Rock" special, Jim says that the universal harmony of music is the reason they made sure to have a number of songs in every single episode (something that must've been EXTREMELY difficult, what with the writing, memorizing, and...
Ugh, to pick just one...
I had about 90 or 100 on my old computer. I transferred my very favorites to this one. How many do I now have on here? 31. :) hehe.
I guess if I had to choose one, it'd have to be "Let Me Be Your Song." Any time I listen to it I bow my head as if it were a...
I agree. Pretty tacky.
I've always been against the use of the Muppets in stupid ways. There is a differance between ridiculous/goofy as in the Muppet Show and dumb, like most of the modern ads featuring the Muppets or Muppet songs. Perhaps I feel this way because Jim is no long around to...
When I get home I'll look through my collection. I might have a few of the ones you're looking for. I'll let you know.
I know at one point I had them all; unfortunately, my old computer's hard drive enjoyed crashing. Often. :(
I wouldn't consider myself a trekkie, but I personally think that the original Star Trek is better than Farscape. I don't watch DS9 or any of the newer ones, so I can't comment on those really. However from what I do know, I think that Star Trek is more mature than Farscape.
That was always...
