OMG!!!!!!!!!!GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!
I really hope they all will be complete uncut and in widescreen, and with LOTS of extras!
Thanks for sharing that GREAT news!!! :)
BTW...what about the Connie Stevens episode with Ernie & Bert? I hope they wont cut anything from the episode...and also not in season 3, with Leslie Uggams & Big Bird.
(Sorry if this has already been discussed!!!) :)
Yes, at the beginning Tony dress himself as a messenger, saying that "Tony Randall came down with a rare disease". But Pops the Doorman recognize him, and says that he should "take his medican like a man". After that Tony goes up the stairs to backstage, where the mentioned Muppets are cheering...
Hi!
Actually I´ve done the episode guides for kermitage.com years ago, so yes...at that time I thought that Zeke was Beard...!
This cold opening has all of the characters mentioned backstage, after Tony goes "up the stairs and do this crummy show", yelling and shouting in joy when he appears...
"Sorry, I remember now that RTL4 is a Dutch station, but I got the copies from a guy in Denmark. That's where the confusion was for me. It was a couple of years ago."
And that guy was...........ME! :)
Well...i love the cover...but i hate the discs art...!
To use the "newer" and very much updated versions of Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzie & Animal is not good. OK...they look MUCH better now than they did in 1976, but again...it IS the first season of The Muppet Show, and they shouldn´t be ashamed...
WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!!!!!!
10 minutes of stuff we already have seen(and have btw!), and NOTHING about The Muppet Show....! Shame on Danish TV for sending this piece of junk!!!
-Hans
No, I have the official first VHS-release from 1983. It was released at the same as Hey Cinderella,
The Frog Prince & Muppet Musicians of Bremen, under the title "Tales from Muppetland".
(See under collectibles-videos)!

Another interesting TV appearance for the Danes:
On Monday 9th, "Barracuda" will be showing a 30 minute "behind the scenes" of The Muppet Show, at 5.30 pm (17.30)! I have no idea what this is!!!
It´s probably just old clips from older specials like "Of Muppets & Men", "60 Minutes" and such...
