I don't know if you're aware of this, Ryan, but there is something on facebook that I think needs to be addressed on the site: https://apps.facebook.com/sesamestreetcontest/viewallentries?viewallurl=%2Fcontests%2Fviewallentriesincontest%2F7691
It's an opportunity for fans to vote for clips for...
While I doubt any full episodes were erased, I'd like to say that if they did destroy master tapes, they sure do seem to have kept many from the first ten years, considering all the early episodes that were shown on Noggin and later iTunes (and it's not just the really important episodes that...
It's "Take a Bath Day" with Ernie. And I don't quite remember this day (and don't feel like going back to every post to see if it had been on the site before).
And Ernie references the "banana in ear" segment, by telling Rubber Duckie "I can't hear ya. I've got bubbles in my ear."
And there was no blu-ray release of that, so of course the DVD had many bonus features.
A few have remarked about the poor selection of features for the 2005 movie DVD releases, and those haven't even been on blu-ray yet (blu-ray as well as HD discs were just being invented and available at...
Well I recently bought the Target exclusive DVD "Singing with the Stars", mainly to fill the sketch listing at Muppet Wiki (only to find the listing was complete before I watched it) and out of hope that it'd include some classic guest star segments (it doesn't). Many of the segments included...
It would be great if there were more characters to find (maybe unlockable), but it is cool that it includes characters like Thog, Mahna Mahna, and the Snowths. I do find it odd that they put Statler and Waldorf in seperate locations.
I feel I've read some gossip on the forums that Sesame Workshop has restored every episode a number of times in the past. Can't remember the threads and can't recall where the information came from (articles? Interviews? insider information?). But I've read that they even restored every epsiode...
Looking at the credits in that book, it was copyrighted 1985, between the first two seasons, and I saw Frank Welker was credited as Skeeter (Bunsen and Beaker were both absent), so I guess maybe they hired him and then replaced him with Dave Coulier before the new season.
The superhero episode...
I wonder how many major production companies had supported the bill and how many haven't. I know that the various online critics at thatguywiththeglasses.com and screwattack.com have been against it (in fact, it was recently announced that the screw attack people canceled plans to attend a major...
Currently voting ends on feburary 1. I've been hoping that every month for at least a few months they'd replace the nominated clips and let fans vote again and again. Probably won't but I'd still like it to happen.
The first two I bought were Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Dr. Teeth, in the same day. My own excitement as well as fan excitement along with a comment I read from Ken Lilly about Palisades only doing one production run per series of any figures (I think they later did extra production runs on some...
I was watching the "Rocky and Bullwinkle Saving Stamps" film on the first season DVD, and I wonder what studio did the animation in that. I know a few different companies provided animation on the show (a mexican studio did most of the animation, a Hollywood studio did the Dudley Do-Rights and...
The official Sesame Workshop site has a new weekly feature called "This Week in Sesame Street", highlighting things that happened each week in history (sort of like a Sesame Workshop version of Jim Henson's red book, only once a week).
The first entry is on Big Bird's first appearance on...
Considering the "friends" aspect, I think it'd be great if this were to include some "ensemble cast" segments. Like "The King's Nose", "The American Revolution: National Bird", "You Tickle Me", "Fuzzy and Blue", "Do De Rubber Duck", any of Prairie Dawn's pageants... Things with many of the main...
My laptop includes a blu-ray player, and I plan on buying the blu-ray, but I still think it's ridiculous that the regular DVD will only have one feature. I think the regular DVD should at least have audio commentary and one of the theatrical trailers (I'd pick the first parody trailer or the...
Well, I read at Muppet Wiki that Elmo's World: Favorite Things will have eight Elmo's World episodes, including Friends and Dinosaurs... Too bad no Transportation.
And although it's been posted elsewhere, I'd like to point out here that Sesame Street's Facebook page is giving fans an...
I'm not really complaining much about the costs they typically go for online, just expressing a bit of surprise. Yeah, I haven't been able to find a copy in person since 1996 (just a few nights ago I dreamt that I found a video store that had all ten of them), only a couple are on YouTube, but I...
